Our SW Callie Buschman, along with SW Amanda Bajzat, from our Heartland Hospice Indianapolis sister branch, both collaborated to help make our patient Dennis Rancourt’s holiday wish (and his wife’s wish too) come true by having him fly down to Florida to reunite with his wife, Sherry, before Christmas, to live his remaining days with her. Both SWs worked together to get it set up with the Angel Flight organization, after a complex process, to say the least – and then our wonderful PCM, Cristy Herron, volunteered to accompany him on the flight, ensuring his medical needs (including an O2 concentrator, etc.) were with him. He was well taken care of until he could be reunited. You can see in the pictures here that it was a happy reunion!
