Ten years ago, Desai Eye Care opened its doors with a simple goal: to provide compassionate, high-quality eye care to Acadiana.

This week, we’re celebrating 10 years, and it would not have been possible without our wonderful patients, dedicated team, and supportive community.

Thank you, Acadiana, for trusting us with your vision. We’re grateful for the past decade and excited for what comes next! 💙

Innovation is here!

Desai Eye Care is proud to be the first practice in Acadiana to implant the new TECNIS PureSee™ intraocular lens during cataract surgery.

This next-generation lens is designed to provide:
- Excellent distance
- Enhanced intermediate vision for everyday activities like using a
computer or seeing the dashboard while driving
- A low incidence of glare and halos for many patients

We’re committed to bringing the latest advances in vision restoration to our community so our patients have access to the best technology available.

If you’re considering cataract surgery, call our office to learn whether the TECNIS PureSee™ lens may be right for you.

Last chance to vote for Acadiana's Choice!

No matter the outcome, we are incredibly grateful for the trust and support this community has shown us over the years.

It has been our privilege to care for generations of families throughout Acadiana, and we never take that responsibility for granted.

If Desai Eye Care has made a difference for you or your family, we'd be honored to have your vote for Best Eye Surgeon.

Thank you for trusting us with your vision. ❤️

Cataract surgery has evolved.

One of the most meaningful advances is the use of laser technology to assist with key steps of the procedure. Laser allows us to create precise incisions and a highly accurate opening in the capsule that holds your new lens. It can also help soften the cataract before removal.

For you, that precision can mean more accurate lens positioning, greater predictability in your visual outcome, and in many cases a smoother surgical experience.

But technology is never the goal.

Your clarity. Your confidence. Your quality of life.

That is what truly matters.

When patients ask me if advanced technology lenses are worth it, I ask them these questions:
What does your day look like?
Do you drive at night often?
Do you read frequently?
Do you travel, play golf, or spend hours on a computer?
Cataract surgery today is not one size fits all. In many cases, we can align your vision with the way you actually live.
My role is to recommend what is medically appropriate and tailored to your lifestyle.
That conversation starts with a comprehensive evaluation. Call us at 337-235-6263 to schedule yours.
