Have you ever experienced burning, tingling, numbness, or pain along the outer thigh? It may be something called meralgia paresthetica, a condition involving irritation of the lateral femoral cutaneous nerve. 🦵🏼
What many people don’t realize is that the area where you feel the pain isn’t always the root cause. In our office, we look for the underlying problem, and one common finding is hip rotation or pelvic imbalance. Sometimes the opposite hip can be contributing to the tension and irritation that leads to symptoms on the painful side. 🌿🤕
That’s why when you’re working to heal pain, don’t just focus on the side that hurts. Stretching, mobilizing, and applying heat to BOTH hips can help improve movement and address imbalances that may be contributing to the problem. 🙆🏻
Your body works as a connected system. Finding and correcting the root cause is often the key to lasting relief, not just covering up symptoms.🔑
Have you ever been surprised to learn that the source of your pain wasn’t where you felt it?🤯
