Taylor Hinkle, FNP, recently joined the IU Health Primary Care – Frankfort team as their newest family nurse practitioner.
Originally from Logansport, IN, Hinkle has been part of the IU Health team since 2020, when she joined IU Health Arnett as an intensive care unit nurse. After earning her undergraduate nursing degree from Indiana University Kokomo and her Master of Science in Nursing from Purdue University Global, she recently transitioned into her new provider role. During graduate school, she completed several clinical rotations in Frankfort, making the move to the practice feel like a natural next step.
As a provider, Hinkle hopes patients see her as both an advocate and a teammate. She believes each patient’s goals should guide their care and works to build treatment plans that reflect what’s most important to them.
“I want to be an advocate for their health,” she says. “I want to know their goals and help them to meet those goals.”
When patients leave an appointment, she hopes they feel understood, supported and confident about the next steps in their care. She also finds the greatest reward in helping patients experience meaningful improvements in their health.
Looking ahead, Hinkle is especially excited to help expand access to primary care in the Frankfort community, recognizing the ongoing need for family medicine providers. She also looks forward to continuing her career with a team she says has been especially welcoming.
Outside of work, Hinkle enjoys gardening, cooking, reading and hiking. Her garden includes flowers and vegetables—including cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, dill and jalapeños—that she uses to make homemade salsa and pickles.
Please join us in welcoming Taylor to the team in this new role!
