What are the basics behind an IVF cycle? Dr. Chappell provides a great explanation of the 4 critical phases to get you through your IVF cycle.

1. RESET - These are the critical 2 to 3 months before egg retrieval
2. RECRUIT- This is the stimulation phase where we grow and mature as many eggs as we can.
3. RETRIEVE - When you are ready, we will retrieve your eggs to then fertilize them in the lab.
4. REPLACE - Now, we are ready for an embryo transfer!

Male factor infertility is a common culprit in infertility cases. Oftentimes we see couples who have spent months or years being tested and treated for infertility by their doctor and the male partner was never given a semen analysis.

🔹Excess weight in males can convert testosterone to estrogen, impacting s***m count and s***m health.
🔹Smoking, va**ng and ma*****na cause DNA damage in s***m.
🔹Testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) can make your s***m count go to zero! If you are planning to build a family, get off of TRT right away.

A semen analysis is an easy test we can do that tells us so much. If you and your partner have been trying to conceive make sure you get a semen analysis.

Our Gift of Hope IVF Grant application deadline is coming up soon. Apply by June 30 for our IVF grant.

We'd like to share the success story of one of our recent Gift of Hope recipients: Meagan & Chris.

Meagan had always longed to be a mother. But, male infertility challenges were a huge roadblock in she and her husband Chris’s attempts to build their family. After years of trying and many failed fertility treatments, they were still without a baby. IVF was their last option. But, on teachers’ salaries, they couldn’t afford the high cost of in vitro fertilization.

Today, they are the proud parents of Bentley, whom they adopted, and Kenna, born from their last embryo created during their Gift of Hope cycle. "Kenna has brought so much joy to our lives. I’m incredibly grateful for Dr. Storment and his amazing team - they truly helped make our family complete. We will always be thankful.”

It's ⭐️ Men's Health Month ⭐️ and a great time to check in with the fellas.

Did you know that around 35%-40% of infertility can be attributed to problems with the male partner?

In most cases, the issue generally has to do with s***m – how many, their shape, and how well they can swim. Luckily, the cause for poor s***m health may be temporary and treatable through lifestyle changes, treatment or surgery.

Other problems that may lead to a man having a difficult time fathering a child have to do with anatomy or structural blockages, such as scar tissue from a prior injury or surgery, varicose veins around the testicles, or an infection.

In some cases, men have immune system disorders that cause their bodies to develop antibodies that attack and weaken the s***m.

Whatever the cause, if you want to improve your chances of conceiving a healthy child, begin with having a male fertility workup at Fertility Answers to uncover the reason you can’t conceive. Give us a call ☎️ today at 888-467-2229

Male infertility is often overlooked, yet it is the cause of a third of all cases. A semen analysis can help diagnose a problem.
