If you are thinking of donating for Giving Tuesday this year, we would be thrilled if you would donate to Bay Area Psychotherapy Training Institute!

Donating helps support our associate training program, provides resources for our Mental Health Equity Fund to aid us in offering affordable therapy to lower-income people, helps us provide support for the local middle school students at Stanley Middle School, and overall keeps our small nonprofit running.

Thanks so much!

Please welcome our new associate, Evka! She is currently accepting clients.

A little about Evka: I work with individual adults and teens and enjoy supporting clients with anxiety, acute stress management, relationship issues, boundaries, and identity formation. My style is warm, empathetic and attentive. I have training in Expressive Arts Therapy and encourage the use of creativity as a means of self-expression, inquiry and transformation. I value collaboration and work with each client to find what techniques are most supportive to them.

We could really use your help right now.

The mental health needs of our community skyrocketed during the pandemic. COVID-19 caused disproportionate suffering among those who are more vulnerable and socioeconomically disadvantaged. BAPTI’s mission is to provide high-quality training to pre-licensed psychotherapists while providing affordable and responsive mental health services.

But today, BAPTI needs your help.

Several associates have completed their hours and four new associates are just getting started. We’ve also leaned into our Mental Health Equity Fund initiative to serve low-income community members, and now we find BAPTI is in need of bridge funding to continue moving our programs forward.

Our goal is to raise $20,000. An anonymous benefactor has generously offered a pledge to match up to $10,000 of all donations made by the end of this year. Any amount you donate will directly contribute to making mental health services affordable for low-income families.

Please donate today to keep BAPTI’s Mental Health Equity Fund and our critical programs running.

Thank you!
