There is a lot of noise out there about psychiatric medication. Some of it is fear, some of it is outdated, and some of it keeps people from getting help that could genuinely change their day-to-day. So we are clearing a few things up.

This post sorts common myths from the facts, so you can make decisions based on real information instead of stigma. Medication is one tool among many, and at Omni our providers take the time to find what actually fits you. No pressure. No one-size-fits-all.

The most overlooked patients in mental health are the ones over 65.

We hear it about a lot of things. Sleep that never quite comes. A father who’s stopped calling. A mother who used to love her garden and now sits in the same chair all day.
Aging brings real change: loss, retirement, health scares, a smaller world than the one you used to have. It makes sense that those things weigh on a person. But depression and anxiety aren’t a normal part of growing older, and they aren’t something anyone has to just live with.
Older adults respond to treatment. It’s never too late to feel better.
