💚💚The past few weeks have been incredibly meaningful for both personal and professional growth at Huval Speech Services.
I had the opportunity to attend the Neurologic Music Therapy Certification course through the of Neurologic Music Therapy, where I will be a Neurologic Music Therapy – Allied Professional upon passing my exams. This experience allowed me to connect with an amazing group of speech-language pathologists serving the neuro population while learning innovative techniques that integrate music into speech, language, cognition, gait, and sensorimotor rehabilitation.
While not all techniques fall within my scope of practice, I am excited to begin incorporating those that do and am grateful to better understand the full continuum of this approach.
I also had the privilege of attending the annual conference hosted by the Brain Injury Association of Louisiana/United Spinal Association Louisiana. I was immersed in valuable clinical knowledge, built relationships with professionals from across multiple states, and — most importantly — spent time learning from survivors and their families. I had the opportunity in hosting a vision board and interactive social circle for the survivor track. These experiences continue to shape and strengthen the way I serve my clients and community. I will forever be grateful for these meaningful connections and interactions.
I am so thankful for opportunities like these that allow me to grow, connect, and continue providing the highest level of care. 💛
