We’re honored to share that Cavanaugh Chiropractic has once again been nominated for the Acadiana Choice Awards, and we’d truly appreciate your vote.

Over the years, social media posts from our office have become a little less frequent, and honestly, life has just gotten busier in the best way possible. Most days are a balancing act between caring for patients, running the office, and trying to make it home in time for family moments that matter.

But one thing that has never changed is how seriously we take caring for you. We work hard every day to provide the best care and service possible because we believe our community deserves that level of commitment. We don’t just want to be called Acadiana’s Choice. We want to earn it.

Last year, because of the support of our friends, family, and patients, we were blessed to win. Seeing people take the time to vote for us day after day meant more than we can properly put into words. The trust and loyalty you continue to show our office is something we never take for granted.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for supporting our small family practice through all these years. If you’d like to help us again this year, we’d be incredibly grateful for your vote.

Thank you for allowing us to do what we love every single day.

Vote once per day from June 1 through June 19.

For the last few years, Alexis has been the artist behind the Christmas artwork on our office windows, and she absolutely knocks it out of the park every time. Patients actually look forward to seeing what she comes up with each year.

Now she’s started a new full time job over at Sterling West, helping people find new and used cars, trucks, and SUVs. We’re proud of her and excited to see her doing well.

That being said… we may have to start talking Christmas window art in August this year before her schedule fills up. 😂 Cross your fingers she can squeeze us in again this season because Christmas at Cavanaugh Chiropractic just wouldn’t feel the same without her artwork on the windows.

If you’re looking for a vehicle, give Alexis a shout over at Sterling West! And if you’ve seen our Christmas windows over the years, you already know she’s got talent.

Weather hasn’t been art friendly my past, very few, days off so unfortunately I don’t have any art posts for you 🫠

BUT I do have a bunch of good deals over at Sterling 😇
If yall know anyone looking for a new or used car/truck/suv please send them my way!!!

Shares appreciated!!! 🖤

Today Matthew got to come to work with me for a little while before his dentist appointment. Honestly, he has spent so much time here since he was a baby time that he walks in like he owns the place.

The second he got here, he started making rounds. Talking to patients, greeting everyone, offering snacks and water, and at one point even offering his services as a pet sitter if anyone ever needed one. The kid has never met a stranger. He can carry on a conversation with just about anybody.

Right before he left for the dentist, I walked into one of the treatment rooms and noticed my standing desk was lowered into the seated position. I immediately knew Matthew had been in there because I never lower it during office hours.

I was about to do some dry needling, so I moved my keyboard out of the way to set my supplies down… and that’s when I found his latest contribution to the office decor.

Underneath the keyboard was a drawing he proudly calls: “A shattered piece of p**p.”

I laughed so hard I nearly lost it. Completely unexpected. Completely ridiculous. And honestly, probably one of my favorite pieces of artwork we’ve ever had in the office.

Running a family business has its stressful moments, but days like today remind me how special it really is getting to watch our boys grow up here around so many kind people. Even if it occasionally means discovering surprise p**p art hidden in the treatment rooms.

We meant to post this yesterday.
But between kids, work, and life doing what it does best… here we are today.

Yesterday was a special one in our family. My parents celebrated 46 years of marriage, which is pretty incredible all by itself… even though my dad was convinced it was 48. Close enough. After that many years, you earn a little grace on the math.

It also happens to be the anniversary of Jenn and my very first date.

Fifteen years ago, I picked her up and drove over an hour to see Christmas lights in Galveston. We were both living in Houston at the time, and somehow she still agreed to go on a long car ride with me.

Last night, Jenn was telling the boys that we went on our first date 11 years ago. I don’t know if she was testing me, but I was very quick to clarify that it’s been 15 years… thank you very much.

It’s a good reminder of how fast time moves, how quickly life fills up, and how thankful I am for the people I get to do life with. From parents who set the example, to building our own story, to raising two little guys who keep us on our toes.

Better late than never. ❤️

Window art season is officially here, and Alexis knocked it out of the park again. This is her 3rd year painting our windows, and honestly, it’s become one of my favorite traditions at the office.

This year she surprised Matthew and Liam with their all-time favorites: Jack Skellington and Zero from The Nightmare Before Christmas. She even added two gingerbread brothers as a nod to the boys’ love for our favorite local bakery.

The photos were taken at the end of the day, so she said she’s coming back tomorrow for brighter shots, but I couldn’t wait. It looks too good not to share. She’s crazy talented, and the front of the office looks like pure holiday fun right now. 🎄✨

Today is World Prematurity Day and I’m reminded that hope doesn’t usually arrive with a big announcement. It starts small, the size of a hand that barely wraps around your finger, or a quiet milestone you celebrate in a room full of monitors. It shows up in ounces gained, tubes removed, and in the steady patience that only NICU parents truly understand.

Back then, hope felt fragile. Now it runs through my house laughing, asking for snacks, and trying to wrestle with each other. Matthew and Liam don’t remember those early days, but we do, and it makes every smile, every hug, and every messy moment feel like a gift we almost couldn’t imagine at the time.

Today we’re celebrating how far they’ve come and sending love to every family still in the NICU chapter. At our office, we meet a lot of people who carry quiet battles of their own, and days like this remind me how much strength can grow from the smallest beginnings. Hope grows, slowly at first, then all at once. And one day, you look up and it’s standing right in front of you.

We struck gold! 🏆

This year, Cavanaugh Chiropractic was voted Best Chiropractor in Acadiana — Gold Winner 2025!

Last year, Matthew and Liam were quick to remind me that second place is the first loser. We’re still working on sportsmanship in our house. But thanks to all of you, we brought home the gold this time.

I tried to find the fancy digital gold logo to show off, but it turns out you only get that if you spend beaucoup bucks on advertising. So, I’ll just proudly show off our cool certificate instead.

From our family to yours, thank you for trusting us, voting for us, and letting us keep doing what we love every day. 💛

After 28+ years with Cavanaugh Chiropractic, Mandy is retiring! 🥹 She’s been such an important part of our office, our patients’ lives, and our family. We’ll miss her dearly, but we’re so excited for her to enjoy this next chapter.

Her daughter shared some wonderful photos from our small “quitting party”, and I’m sharing them here so you can celebrate her right along with us. If you’ve ever been greeted by Mandy’s warm smile or had her help during your visit, drop a comment or share your favorite memory below. ❤️

And while we’re feeling all this love and support… we’d love your vote in the Best of Acadiana awards! We made it to the top five again, and your daily votes mean the world to us. (You can vote once a day through August 15 — link in the comments.)

🎉 Shoutout time! 🎉

There’s been some serious buzz among the Cub Scout moms lately—and it’s all about Brandon, a local massage therapist whose son is in Matthew’s den. Word on the street (and by street, I mean the sideline of every pack meeting) is that he’s really good at what he does.

He’s running a summer gift certificate special right now:
💆‍♂️ Two-hour massage for just $120 (normally $155!)
That’s a steal for anyone who could use a little self-care—or a thoughtful gift for someone else.

Let’s show Brandon some love:
✅ Give his page a like
✅ Grab a gift certificate (or two)
✅ Tag someone who could use a little R&R

Support local. Relax more. Win-win. 🙌

Summer Sale! Limited availability!
Gift certificates available for a 2 hour deep tissue massage ($155 value) on sale for $120. I made only 10 of these available for my Lafayette location and only 5 available for my Pine prairie location. First come first serve and once they’re gone the sale ends. Otherwise the sale will run until the 4th of July. I put out the sale yesterday in celebration of Juneteenth to my existing clients and today I’m advertising to the public. Happy Summertime everyone!
