📢ATTN School Social Workers in Louisiana, register to join me at the Louisiana Association of School Social Work Confrence. Link in the bio.

I'll be facilitating my Healing Through a Distorted Lens Training for 1.5 CEUs.

This is a brief trauma-responsive anti-bias training for school social workers. It integrates ethics, cognitive, behavioral and somatic approaches to help providers increase awareness regarding implicit bias. I'll provide strategies for disrupting and challenging bias in clinical practice in school systems.

School social workers will have an opportunity to learn how implicit bias impacts student care, documentation and referrals, the pre-school to prison pipeline, and ethical decision-making. The training emphasizes moving from awareness to actionable and embodied change.

Objectives:
1. Increase self-awareness by identifying potential areas of implicit biases in their interaction with youth and barriers to change.

2. To apply cognitive and somatic strategies to challenge and reduce implicit bias in their interaction with youth.

3. Learn an evidence-based tool for challenging implicit bias and when it’s appropriate to use the call in/out method.

4. Analyze how implicit bias may create ethical dilemmas and apply relevant principles from the National Association of Social Workers Code of Ethics to promote culturally responsive, and ethically sound clinical practice within schools systems.

🙌🏾Morning Reflections pt. 4!

Building a business with God requires patience!

09/04/2026

🙌🏾Morning Reflections!

I've learned to put God First and in the center of not just my business but everything.

I've learned to TRUST in God's Timing.

🙌🏾 Morning Reflections pt.2

🙌🏾Morning Reflections Pt 1!

It has taking me 4 years, 2 rounds of failed (I say this loosely) collaborations to learn this lesson.

But the message has been received loud and clear now, thank God.
