Our next employee spotlight goes to Mrs. Megan Leonard!

Mrs. Megan received her Masters degree from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2011. She began working for Speech Language Specialists in August 2024.
Special interest areas include early intervention, Autism Spectrum Disorder, social thinking, using AAC devices, reading comprehension and writing composition.

Mrs. Megan received professional training in the DIR/Floortime technique, which emphasizes the importance of building connections and shaping play and social skills to an age-appropriate level.

She also received professional training in use of the PROMPT technique and TalkTools for treatment of articulation disorders.

In her spare time, Mrs. Megan enjoys reading, traveling, volunteering at her church, and spending time with her 2 growing boys!
