At Valor Wellness, we spend a lot of time talking about taking care of women—but today, we’re celebrating some of the ones who take such good care of us. ❤️

Our furry best friends are there for the walks, the hard days, the adventures, the cuddles, and apparently… the occasional fancy treat. 😂🐶

There’s something pretty special about the unconditional love of a dog. They get us moving, make us laugh, help us slow down, and somehow always seem to know when we need a little extra love.

🦴 Want to protect your bones as you age? Add some weight to your walk!

Tonight I was tired, but I still wanted to get some movement in—so I grabbed my weighted vest and headed outside for a 2-mile walk. 💪

For women in perimenopause and menopause, bone health becomes especially important. As estrogen declines, we begin to lose some of its protective effect on our bones, increasing the risk of osteopenia and osteoporosis over time.

One of the best things we can do? Give our bones a reason to stay strong.

Weight-bearing exercise and resistance training provide mechanical loading that helps support bone strength. A weighted vest can add additional load to something as simple as walking—while also challenging your muscles, balance, and cardiovascular system.
