Position - Radiologist Tech

Southern Vascular Clinic is seeking a full-time Radiologist Tech to join our team in Lafayette, Louisiana. Our clinic's mission is to provide excellent vascular care that is both compassionate and efficient. We are a high-functioning practice offering minimally invasive office-based procedures. We take pride in safe, comprehensive care of our patients and the community we serve.

Responsibilities/Duties and Expectations:
- Must have skills in time management, problem-solving, multitasking, and prioritizing
- Ability to perform Scrub Tech/Rad Tech care in our office-based procedure lab
- Upholding Joint Commission standards
- Manage procedure lab supplies and inventory system
- Ability to sterilize procedure instruments
- Have a positive attitude and be a team player with excellent/consistent communication skills
- Prioritize patient care and experience

Qualifications:
- Radiologist Tech Certificate
- Current license of the Louisiana State Board of Radiologic Technology
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

Desired:
- 1-year experience including scrub tech training/experience

Meet our provider! Shamir Hasan, DO, is excited to start his new chapter in Lafayette. He is a resident of California and has been studying Nephrology/Interventional Nephrology since 2018. He and his fiancé, Emily, enjoy spending time with their French bulldog, Atticus, and cooking with friends. They look forward to enjoying Lafayette's local cuisine, music, events, and culture.



Dr. Hasan received a Bachelor of Science degree in Physiological Science from the University of California, Los Angeles. He then attended Des Moines University, where he earned his Doctorate of Osteopathy in 2013. He completed his residency training in Southampton, New York, received multiple awards for his leadership, teaching, and patient care. After graduating as chief resident, Dr. Hasan continued his medical training in Nephrology Fellowship at Northwell in New York and Interventional Nephrology at Louisiana State University Medical Center in Shreveport. Dr. Hasan has developed interests in diagnostic ultrasound, minimally invasive procedures, and complete dialysis access care. He has been board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.



Dr. "Shammy" has always been passionate about being as complete of a physician as possible, which initially spurred his interest in nephrology and interventional nephrology. As a skilled teacher, he believes that the first step in empowering his patients is educating them about their disease processes in a digestible and straightforward manner. He has found that his best students are his patients, who often understand their own health needs go hand-in-hand with feeling better. Besides his aforementioned interests, he focuses on providing an unparalleled holistic patient care experience, establishing long-lasting relationships with his patients, and making a positive and profound impact in the Lafayette area.
