**Muscle Pain & Injury Recovery Takes Time 💪**
Muscle strains, overuse injuries, tightness, and sports-related pain can affect your daily movement, sleep, and overall quality of life.
Acupuncture may help support recovery by:
• Reducing muscle tension and soreness
• Improving local circulation
• Supporting the body’s natural healing response
• Improving mobility and range of motion
• Helping manage pain during the recovery process
# # # How long does recovery take?
Every injury is different. Recovery time depends on the severity of the injury, how long the problem has been present, activity level, age, and overall health.
**General recovery guideline:**
🔹 **Mild / recent muscle soreness or strain:** Often improves within several days to a few weeks
🔹 **Moderate muscle strain or overuse injury:** May require several weeks
🔹 **Chronic or recurring muscle pain:** May require several weeks or longer, especially when the condition has been present for months or years
# # # Why does recovery take time?
These timelines are based on **general musculoskeletal and rehabilitation guidance**, not acupuncture alone.
Whether you choose **acupuncture, physical therapy, therapeutic exercise, or other conservative treatments**, injured muscles still need time for normal tissue healing and rehabilitation.
Treatment may help reduce pain, improve mobility, decrease muscle tension, and support the recovery process—but it does not eliminate the body’s natural healing timeline.
For many musculoskeletal conditions, treatment may begin at **1–2 sessions per week**, then gradually decrease as symptoms and function improve.
It is also common for **pain to improve before the tissue has fully recovered**. Strength, flexibility, endurance, and tolerance to activity may take additional time to return.
At **TxHeart Acupuncture & Wellness**, we evaluate each patient individually and adjust the treatment plan based on your progress.

*Recovery time varies by injury severity, location, activity level, overall health, and repeated stress to the injured area. Persistent or severe pain, significant weakness, swelling, numbness, or pain after a major injury should be medically evaluated.*
