What inspired Kay to become a therapist?
For Kay, the path to becoming a therapist was shaped by experiences within her own family. Walking alongside her through divorce and supporting her brother through substance and alcohol use gave her a deeper understanding of how challenging life transitions can be and how much support can matter during difficult times.
Learning to facilitate an intervention for her brother further shaped her perspective on the importance of compassion, connection, and creating space for people to receive the help they need. These experiences inspired her to pursue a career where she could offer that same sense of support and care to others navigating their own challenges.π
