I woke up to this letter in my inbox today.

This is why I do this work.

With Mary's permission, I'm sharing her full letter in the comments below.

Not every success story is about sobriety. Sometimes it's about finding the strength to start over.

Mary, is a client I had the privilege of supporting through addiction in her family and one of the most difficult transitions of her life.

While recovery is often part of the journey, so is grief, loss, family struggles, major life transitions, and learning to trust yourself again.

Thank you, Mary, for trusting me to walk alongside you on your journey and for allowing me to share your words. ❤️

Please message me if you would like to talk to me. First session together is always free whether you are new to recovery, have relapsed or going through a major life transition, don't hesitate to reach out.

In addition, if you feel called to do this work, my next training to certify CCAR Recovery Coaches starts Monday, Sept. 7th. It's affordable and life changing!

Grateful for this reflection from a recent graduate of the CCAR Recovery Coach Training. These trainings never stop reminding me how much growth happens when people are willing to really show up for the work.

If becoming a recovery coach or strengthening the way you support others has been on your heart, our next CCAR Recovery Coach Training begins March 30. I’m happy to share details with anyone who’s curious. Registrations details here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScU8YYkhVWe19P0cuewA_MyvfXsXPtLCmUHCJt8U9f5lhkYjg/viewform

Last night we wrapped up another CCAR Recovery Coach Training, and my heart feels full.

I’m always moved by the courage, honesty, and commitment people bring into this space, not just to support others, but to deepen their own recovery and personal growth.

Watching individuals step more fully into their voice, their confidence, and their sense of purpose never gets old for me.

I feel incredibly grateful to do this work and to walk alongside people who feel called to help others find hope, connection, and freedom in recovery.

To this most recent group, thank you for trusting the process and showing up the way you did.

Hi friends,

I wanted to share something meaningful that happened this week.

I recently shared a post about my current CCAR Recovery Coach Training and one of the people who reached out was a former IOP group client of mine from 2022.

He told me how much our work together had impacted him back then. He’s since moved to Seattle, stayed sober for a while and recently relapsed.

At first he asked if I knew anyone in his area who could help him.

And then I realized, this is exactly the work I do now.

We got on a call, it was a great fit, and he enrolled in 13 weeks of private recovery coaching.

He started working with me about two weeks ago and as of today, he now has 14 days sober.

It was such a reminder to me that this work isn’t just about programs or trainings, it’s about real humans, real lives, and real turning points.

If you or someone you love is struggling right now and could use support, you can simply message me “support” and I’ll personally get back to you.

Feeling deeply grateful to be doing this work and to walk alongside people on their recovery journeys.

💛 What an Honor! 💛
Last week, I was invited to speak at Recovery.com’s Annual Staff Retreat and present on a topic I’m deeply passionate about:
“The Art of Intervention: Harnessing the Power of the Family using the ARISE Invitational and Comprehensive Care Model.”

Standing on that stage, I was reminded why I do this work—because families can heal together. And when they do, everything changes.

I’m so grateful to the amazing team at Recovery.com for the opportunity to share this message and for the beautiful photos that captured the moment. 🙏

Remove Barriers to Recovery!
One of the roles to being a recovery coach is to remove barriers to recovery. Kimberly Ferguson is a perfect example as she house and pet sits for people going into treatment! She has the biggest heart of anyone I know!
