Meet Dr. Wu!
Dr. Wu received his Masters in Biomedical Engineering from the University of California, San Diego, and his PhD in Physiology from the University of Arizona, Tucson before he began his medical training at Duke University in 1994. Dr. Wu received his Medical Doctorate from Duke University School of Medicine in 1997, and he completed his residencies in General Surgery and Urology at the Duke University Medical Center in 2003.
Dr. Wu takes a special interest in research and clinical trials, and he has extensive experience in laser treatment of Benign Prostate Hyperplasia (BPH) and has written multiple research papers that have been published in medical journals. While at Duke, he was a research fellow in the Laboratory of Tumor Microcirculation and the Laboratory of Tumor Vaccination. He is a member of the American Urological Association.
In his spare time, Dr. Wu enjoys playing tennis and learning foreign languages. Besides English, he is fluent in his native language, Mandarin Chinese. Dr. Wu taught himself Spanish so that he could discuss Urologic conditions with his Spanish speaking patients.
