Shelton John Guillory

Shelton John Guillory was born on January 16, 1947, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, to the late Matney Guillory and Martha Toussaint Guillory. He attended W.O. Boston High School and worked at the Cit-Con facility for more than 30 years. He and Norma Guillory were blessed with two beautiful daughters, Stacie Orsot (Rico) and Shelley Guillory.

Shelton was outgoing, devoted to his community, and a faithful parishioner of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church. He deeply loved and cared for his five grandchildren, Alexia (David), Aidan, Josh, Anyah, and Anthony, and his three great-grandchildren, Aidan, Amelia, and David Jr. He also shared a special bond with his many nieces and nephews.

Shelton remained an active member of his community until illness limited his participation. He was known as the self-appointed greeter at countless funerals for relatives, friends, coworkers, and members of the community. He always made it a point to pay his respects whenever someone he knew passed away. Family members would often hear from others who had seen “your daddy” at yet another funeral. His presence during times of loss offered comfort and support to many families.

He was a member of the Lions Club and participated in numerous civic and social activities. Through his famous barbecue catering business, Shelton fed and brought joy to people throughout the community. He enjoyed organizing family reunions and helping feed attendees at the Sacred Heart Bazaar. He never missed an opportunity to coordinate one of his popular Super Bowl pools.

Shelton will also be fondly remembered for his famous purple Crown Royal bags, in which he carefully kept his loose change and anything else he considered a treasured possession.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Matney and Martha Guillory, and his siblings, Dalton Guillory, Youree James Guillory, Clifton Guillory, Carlton Guillory, and Anna Mae Sapp.

Shelton leaves to cherish his memory his two daughters, Stacie Orsot and Shelley Guillory; his brother, Matney Guillory Jr. of Houston, Texas; his sisters, Eula Mae Hanchett of Beaumont, Texas, and Judy Simon of Lake Charles, Louisiana; his five grandchildren; his three greatgrandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, coworkers, and friends.

Visitation will begin at 8:00 A.M. with a Rosary to be said at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, July 31, 2026 in Combre Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 A.M. in Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Interment in Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of Combre Funeral Home.

Eva Chenier Jones

Eva Chenier Jones was born September 24, 1936, in Leonville, Louisiana to the late Leonard Chenier, Sr and Virginia Lastrapes Chenier. She was raised in a strict Christian home because her daddy did not play about his children and especially his daughters. Pop was strict and required work in the fields but did not allow his children to work in any other fields. Eva never claimed to be the best or fastest worker because she had to make sure her “gloves” were cut just right to avoid any scars. Their family was raised as Catholics and Eva followed that faith for most of her adult life. It was not until later when Eva decided to become baptized and join Messiah Missionary Baptist church.

Eva met the love of her life, Mckinley “Kenny” Jones, in 1952 at the senior prom dance of Plaisance High School. On November 13, 1954, they were united in holy matrimony. This union was blessed with three children Terry Sr., Tammy, and Dwight.

Eva was a strong-willed, outspoken woman who never hesitated to tell you exactly how she felt or what she did not like. She often shared the story of being offered the opportunity to become Miss Louisiana. But in those days, with limited financial resources and the wrong skin color, she knew she would never be given the chance to win, no matter how beautiful she was or how gracefully she carried herself.

Even so, Eva was a true Queen in every sense of the word. She reigned through the love she poured into her parents, siblings, children, grandchildren, and everyone fortunate enough to cross her path. She never thought twice about taking in a child, making sure they were fed, or rocking them to sleep. That was simply how she loved.

If a sibling needed care, Eva would travel wherever she had to go to be there. She lovingly watched over her nieces and nephews, and there was absolutely nothing she would not do for her children or grandchildren. If something needed to be handled, Kenny would drive the car, and Eva would get dressed up because she was going to "go get things straight."

If you happened to be passing through town, you could count on Eva preparing a delicious pot of crawfish étouffée and baking her famous Sock-It-to-Me Cake. Caring for others brought her so much joy that she made it her life's work. As a caregiver, she extended the same compassion, kindness, and unwavering love to every family she served throughout the years.

Eva's heart was enormous. She was always willing to help anyone, anytime, even if it meant traveling long distances. She showed up for people—especially her family—without hesitation.

Not only was Eva beautiful on the inside, but she always turned heads whenever she stepped out. Our Queen could never be overlooked. Her signature look included perfectly polished red nails, a statement “hat” for the occasion, and, of course, her unforgettable red lipstick.

If there is one thing everyone will always remember about Eva "Chenier" Jones, it is this: she was not going anywhere without a tube of red lipstick. She often said that if she stepped out looking her best with that bold red lip, it did not matter if her pocketbook was empty. She would still stand tall, speak her mind, and never be afraid to stand up for what was right.

That bold red lipstick became more than her signature—it became a symbol of her confidence, her strength, her dignity, and the fearless spirit that made Eva "Chenier" Jones our forever Queen.

Our Queen will forever be loved, missed, and all the memories cherished by her children, Terry (Jennifer) Jones, Sr., Tammy Jones of Lake Charles, Louisiana and Dwight (Brenda) Jones of Houston, Texas. Seven grandchildren, Tobias Jackson, LaNay Jones, Terrilyn Jones, Terry Jones, Jr., Leann Jones, Varsha Jones, Christina Jones, and Nevaeh Jones. Eight great grandchildren, Shannon Booker, Jr., Isaiah Jones, Jaxson Roberts, Graham Jones, Luna LeMelle, Geri LeMelle, Jalyssa, Krystle and D.J. Griffin. Five great great grandchildren; Kyron Ware, Austin Celestine, DeVinchi General, Emberly Manual, Amiri Perkins. A Goddaughter, Yolanda Straughter and Godson, Taylor Lewis. Best friend of thirty plus years, Lorena Randle. Bonus family, the Fergusons (Craig, Nancy, Tyler, Cale, and Bailey). Her brother-in-law, Leander Richard and sister-in-law, Annie Ree Thiery. As the last sibling of thirteen children, Eva will be missed by the many nieces and nephews, and others that loved her deeply.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard Sr., and Virginia Chenier. Her husband, McKinley (Kenny) Jones will be waiting. Her daughter – in – law, Dawn Jackson Jones and son – in – law, Gerald Jones. Three brothers: Leonard, Jr., Ben Chenier, and Joseph Wilton Chenier; nine sisters; Beatrice Sias, Nora Roberts, Carrie Comeaux, Anna Guidry, Linda Quebedeaux, Elvina Portier, Theresa Lazard, Mary Richard, and Mable Lazard. Both of her Goddaughters; Tracy Theresa Lazard and Elizabeth Jones.

Willie Mae Honor Gardiner

Willie Mae Honor Gardiner, was born on November 22, 1929, in Melville, La to Louis and Retha (Jackson) Honor. She transitioned peacefully to her heavenly home on July 17, 2026, at Harbor Hospice-Lake Charles, surrounded by family.

She was united in holy matrimony to the late Wilbert Joseph Gardiner, Sr. to which they shared nine children

Willie Mae, was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Aunt and friend. She touched the lives of everyone who knew her through her kindness, compassion and unwavering words of encouragement. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren, creating treasured memories that will live forever in their hearts.

She was an asset to her community as a self-employed licensed beautician, administrative employee at the Fisherville Community YMCA, she also served as a nurse's aide at Martin De Porres Nusing Home and St. Patrick Hospital, she worked and retired after 25years in various positions from St.Patrick Hospital. After retiring she continued to serve her community by working for the City of Lake Charles summer feeding program, also a full time Sub-teacher/tutor with Sacred Heart Early Childhood Program and CPSB until her rapid health decline.

Willie Mae was a devout Catholic, Member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, she was a member of the Knights of Peter Claver Immaculate Heart of Mary Ladies Auxiliary Court 141 and 4th Degree member of Father Herbert F. Schuster Chapter 22 Ladies of Grace

She will be remembered by her since of fashion, her infectious laugh, the love she shared, and the faith she lived by. Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy of love and devotion will endure in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.

Mary Ann Weldon-Boyd

Mary Ann Weldon Boyd was born September 29, 1949 to Joyce Reed and Paul Henderson. She graduated from W. O. Boston High School before earning her Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification. She began her career at Kitty Daycare Center, where she lovingly cared for children. She later dedicated many years of faithful service to Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, where she remained until her retirement. Following retirement, Mary Ann became affectionately known throughout her neighborhood as the “Candy Lady”. Her generosity and loving spirit brought joy to countless children and neighbors, always greeting them with a smile and a sweet treat.

Mary Ann was a gifted and talented seamstress, well known throughout the Lake Charles community for her exceptional sewing skills. She took great pride in creating and altering garments for family, friends, and members of the community. Her craftsmanship and attention to detail reflected the love and care she poured into everything she did. She also found a great joy in gardening and caring for her flowers and plants. She loved watching thing grow and appreciated the beauty of God’s creation.

Mary Ann was a faithful member of Mount Olive Baptist Church, and loved attending worship services, singing in the choir, participating in the Mission Ministry and studying God’s Word. Her faith remained the foundation of her life, and she never allowed life’s challenges to shake her trust in God.

Mary Ann will be remembered for her strength, perseverance, compassion, and unwavering love for her family. She had a caring heart, a giving spirit, and a quiet determination that inspired everyone blessed to know her. Her legacy of faith kindness, and service will continue to live on in the hearts of those she love.

Mary Ann Weldon Boyd peacefully entered into eternal rest on Friday, July 17, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of faith, love, hard work, and service to others. Her life was a testament to God’s grace, and she touched countless lives with her kindness, generosity, and unwavering devotion to her family and community.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ervin Andrew Boyd; her father, Paul Henderson and her sister, Wanda Smith.

Richard Celestine, Sr.

Richard, known by everyone as “Big Richard”, was called home on July 2, 2026. He was surrounded by family and friends.

Whether he was in the kitchen cooking, grilling outside, fishing, or working on classic cars, he found joy in all aspects of life. He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Richard is survived by his wife Michelle Mouton Celestine, his sons, Derrick Mouton (Rose), Richard Celestine Jr., Jamar Celestine, and Tyler Celestine (Tamara). His mother, Martha Fontenot Celestine, siblings, David Celestine (Alysia), Ronald Celestine (Dawn), Donald Celestine (Tasha), and bonus brother Keith Guillory (Brenda). His grandchildren, Gianna, Ramsey, Sadie, and Sage. He also leaves behind an abundance of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Celestine and his brother Ricky Celestine.

As we say goodbye, we hold on to the moments, the laughter, and the love that will never fade.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Matriarch, Carleen Robinson Lee. After a long life filled with so much joy and love she has gone home to be with the love of her life James Lee.

An angel was placed on earth on July 9th, 1940, to the hands and hearts of Charles and Zora Robinson in Crowley, Louisiana. While on this earth she served the Lord, was of great service to her community and loved, provided for and protected her family.

Carleen was preceded in death by both parents Charles and Zora; sisters Bertha, Marjorie and Charlene; brothers Lloyd, Larry Charles, and Charles; grandsons Daron and Tyrese and amazing husband James.

She leaves behind with memories one son Michael (Jennifer); five daughters Belinda (Timothy), Brenda, Pamela, Sheryl and Shaleitha; Sisters Shirley, Brenda; brothers Floyd, Louis, David, Donald Ray and Harold. LEONARD FUSELIER, JR.

In Loving Memory of Leonard Fuselier Jr.

With profound sadness and hearts full of love, we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle, Leonard Fuselier Jr. Too many, he was known as Mr. Leonard. To his wife, he was her heart. To his children, he was Daddy. To his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, he was simply Pawpaw—a title he wore with immeasurable pride.

Born and raised in Sulphur, Louisiana, Leonard was one of seven siblings and the beloved son of Eva Garland Fuselier and Leonard Fuselier Sr. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, his parents, his beloved Aunt Trudy Garland-Thomas, his brothers, Weldon Fuselier and L.D. Fuselier, and his sister, Yvonne Moore.

Although his formal education ended after elementary school, his determination, strong work ethic, wisdom, and unwavering faith became his greatest teachers. He never allowed his circumstances to define his future or limit his dreams.

Leonard began his career working at the bowling alley for Mr. Charles Dixon ,which later transitioned into Tony’s Pizza, where he faithfully dedicated more than 28 years of his life. While many would have been content to remain there, Leonard believed that hard work, perseverance, and faith could open doors that education alone could not. With courage and an entrepreneurial spirit, he pursued his lifelong dream of owning a restaurant.

Through countless hours of sacrifice and determination, he built a business that became more than just a place to eat—it became a gathering place where customers became friends and everyone was welcomed like family. For more than four decades, his restaurant stood as a testament to what can be accomplished through hard work, resilience, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to serving others.

Although Leonard’s accomplishments in business were remarkable, they paled in comparison to the legacy he built within his family. He was the proud father of Troy, Janelle, Marlon, and Susan, and nothing brought him greater joy than watching his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren grow. He led not only through words but, more importantly, through his example, demonstrating the importance of honesty, humility, generosity, and treating every person with kindness and respect.

Leonard was a simple man with an extraordinary heart. He never sought recognition or praise. His greatest rewards came from providing for those he loved, lending a helping hand to anyone in need, sharing a laugh, telling stories, and creating cherished memories around the table with family and friends. His strength was quiet, his love was steadfast, and his generosity knew no limits.

To know Leonard was to know someone who believed that every person deserved dignity, compassion, and a warm welcome. He touched countless lives through his kindness, wisdom, and willingness to give of himself without expecting anything in return. His influence reached far beyond his family, leaving an enduring mark on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Leonard leaves behind a family who adored him, friends who cherished him, and a community that was blessed by his presence. Though our hearts are broken by his passing, we find comfort in knowing that the values he instilled, the love he shared, and the legacy he created will continue to live on through each of us.

Tommy Morris Bilbo, Sr.

Tommy Morris Bilbo, Sr. was born August 22, 1950 to the proud parents of Morris Bilbo and Julia Batiste Bilbo. He was one of four children including, James Bilbo, Joseph (Veronica) Bilbo Sr. and Glenda Bilbo Pitre (John).

Tommy Sr. found Christ at an early age. He was baptized in 1976 by the Late Harvey Lawson of Mount Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church, now under the Leadership of Pastor E.J. Kemper.

Tommy Sr. graduated in 1968 from Washington High School and attended McNeese State University. In 1969 he accepted employment at Firestone Rubber Company and later united with W.R. Grace for a total of 37 years of dedicated employment. He retired from W. R. Grace in August of 2020.

Tommy Sr. married Rita Ann Galentine on November 5, 1971 and their union was blessed with three children, Angela Braxton, Tammy Bilbo Palms and Tommy Morris Bilbo, Jr. (Tomika). Two bonus children, Thomas Simon (Nikita), Sjovissa Menard Lee (Jerrita) ten grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

Tommy Sr. legacy continues through his loving family including a host of nieces, nephews, godchildren, relatives and friends.

Tommy Sr. was preceded in death by his parents, Morris and Julia Bilbo, grandparents, Lymon and Mattie Bilbo, Brother James Bilbo, grandson Jordan Bilbo and in-laws, John and Helen Galentine.

The Bilbo family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to everyone for the prayers phone calls, messages, visits and endless support shown during this difficult time. Every act of love has meant more than words could ever express.

Tommy Sr. visitation will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2026 at 9:00 A.M. followed by the funeral service at 11:00 A.M. in Mount Pilgrim Missionary Baptist. Interment will be in Combre Memorial Park under the direction of Combre Funeral Home.
