Vibration is one of the simplest sensory tools used in home-care programs. 👇

In this clip, Dr. Kyle demonstrates how vibration may be applied to the feet and hands as part of a clinician-guided routine, and what practitioners are watching for during stimulation, like how the hands respond.

One important note: responses like hands curling in during stimulation are something to bring up with your provider, not something to diagnose at home. Technique, timing, and interpretation should always be guided by a qualified practitioner.

Diet changed. Inflammation didn't spike. Why? 🤔

Dr. Kyle shares a study that surprised researchers: a rural community was introduced to processed, high-carb Western foods, with stool samples taken before and after. The expectation was significant gut disruption. The result: far less inflammation than predicted.

One hypothesis for why: environment. These individuals spent their days outdoors in full spectrum sunlight, surrounded by greenery. Researchers are increasingly asking whether light exposure plays a role in gut and immune function.

To be clear, that's a hypothesis, not a proven mechanism. But it's a reminder that health isn't just what's on the plate. Light, movement, and environment are inputs too.

Brain health isn't complicated. It's consistent. 🧠

Seven habits with real neuroscience behind them: movement, novelty, sleep, stress recovery, protected attention, social connection, and repetition.

None of them require equipment. All of them require showing up more days than not, because the brain responds to repetition, not perfection.

Not all light is the same. Different wavelengths, different effects. 👇

Red light is the one most people know. Research suggests it may support blood flow and help modulate inflammation, with much of the work focused on mitochondria, the energy centers of our cells.

But red is only part of the spectrum. Researchers are studying other wavelengths too, including violet and green, and each interacts with the body differently.

In Dr. Kyle's clinic, green has become one of the most interesting. Working with children on the autism spectrum and patients with chronic pain conditions like CRPS, he's been observing responses to green light as part of broader neurological programs.

Different inputs, different effects. That's why understanding the mechanism matters more than following the trend.

Your brain is taking notes right now. 🧠

Neuroplasticity means your brain is constantly adapting to whatever you give it. Stress, sleep, movement, attention. Every repeated input is training something.

Most people never chose their current settings. They just accumulated. The good news: settings can be retrained, and the brain responds to repetition, not perfection.

So the real question is slide 7.

Why are clinicians paying attention to green light? 🟢

Most people have heard of red light therapy. But research on green light is growing, including studies suggesting it may help reduce headaches and migraines.

In clinical settings, Dr. Kyle and his team have been observing how children respond to green light applications as part of a broader neurological program. Every child is different, and this is one input among many, but the early observations are interesting.

Different wavelengths of light interact with the body in different ways. Green is one the research world is watching closely.

Why do we escape to the forest or the beach when life gets heavy? 🌲

It may be more than a preference. Researchers in Japan have studied something called forest therapy, where patients dealing with anxiety, depression, mood changes, and sleep issues were prescribed walks through the forest. What they observed: time in green natural settings appeared to calm and regulate the nervous system.

Research suggests our visual environment, including the colors we take in, may influence brain chemistry and how regulated we feel. Green in particular has been associated with a calming effect on the nervous system.

Your environment is an input. And inputs matter.

Doing all the therapies and still not seeing the progress you hoped for? This one's for you. 👇

Many families navigating autism are doing everything. PT, OT, speech, ABA. And they still feel like something is being missed.

Dr. Kyle's approach starts with a bigger question: what else is going on in the body? Comprehensive lab work like blood, stool, urine, and saliva testing can sometimes reveal factors like gut inflammation or underlying infections that may be affecting brain function.

One example is PANS/PANDAS, a group of immune-related conditions triggered by infection. The trigger can be bacterial, viral, fungal, or parasitic, and many parents have never been told these are worth ruling out.

The principle is simple: the more you understand about what's going on, the more you can address. A diagnosis is a label, not the full investigation.

Would you buy a house after inspecting only two rooms? 🏠

That's the analogy Dr. Kyle uses with parents. A good inspector checks the foundation, the wiring, the roof, the whole picture. Because the goal is to understand everything going on, not just the most visible parts.

Autism is often approached by looking mainly at behavior. But clinically, many of these children also show things like gastrointestinal inflammation, retained primitive reflexes, sensory processing differences, and nutrient deficiencies that may be affecting the brain.

A diagnosis names a pattern. It doesn't always explain every system involved. Looking at the whole picture is how you find more places where a child may be supported.

There's a lot more beyond the label.

Share this with a parent who needs the fuller picture, and follow Dr. Kyle for more understandable neurological education.

The rooting reflex is one of the first reflexes babies are born with. It helps infants turn toward touch and latch during feeding, and it typically integrates within the first months of life.

When it sticks around longer than expected, clinicians may look at it as one piece of a bigger developmental picture, especially in children with speech delays or feeding challenges.

Important: seeing something like this at home does not diagnose your child. It's a concept worth knowing so you can ask better questions. If you have concerns about your child's speech or feeding, a qualified therapist or developmental professional can do a proper evaluation.
