Another KDCC alum update: Last week Dallas Lauderdale became a PLPC!

Dallas provided services here at KDCC as a counselor intern from January 2025 to May 2026, and we are thrilled to say that she will be continuing to serve the community here at KDCC as a PLPC 💙💛.

A recent update on one of our KDCC alum:

Kennedy Esprit has obtained her provisional license and is now providing services at Larson Counseling and Wellness in Lafayette. Kennedy was a Counselor Intern with KDCC from January 2025 to May of 2026. We wish her all the best as she begins this next phase of her career!

As always, we want to acknowledge the work and perseverance it takes to become a LPC:

- Four years to obtain a bachelor’s degree.
- Three years to obtain a master’s degree. {It is during this phase that the counseling career begins with an internship.}
- Two years practicing as a Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor.
