That could be you, a loved one, a friend, or a neighbor. The need for blood is constant, and there’s no substitute for the generosity of volunteer blood donors.

🎓🩸 High school donors are making a BIG difference!

Did you know that 20% of LifeShare’s blood collections come from high school blood drives? That means students, faculty, and staff across our communities are playing an important role in keeping local hospitals stocked and helping patients when they need it most.

Every donation matters—and our next generation of lifesavers is already stepping up. ❤️
Thank you to every school, student, and staff member who rolls up a sleeve and helps save local lives!

Today, we remember September 11, 2001, and the lives forever changed by that day.

In the aftermath, people across the country came together to help in any way they could. Thousands of people rolled up their sleeves and donated blood, answering a call to help those who needed it most.

At LifeShare, we know that every blood donation is an act of compassion. Every donor gives hope to patients and families facing some of life’s most difficult moments.

Today, we honor the lives lost, the heroes who responded, and the everyday people who stepped forward to help.
We remember. We honor. We will never forget. 🇺🇸❤️

September is National Sickle Cell Awareness Month. 🩸

Approximately 100,000 Americans live with sickle cell disease, a rare chronic condition that causes the red blood cells to harden and form a sickle shape. This sickling causes severe and unpredictable pain, intense fatigue, frequent infections, and more.

We are proud to stand with the Sickle Cell Disease Association of America, Inc., this month and push for better treatments, education and outcomes for sickle cell warriors.

Regular transfusions can be lifesaving for patients with sickle cell disease. Blood donation helps patients by providing healthy red blood cells that can improve oxygen delivery and reduce complications caused by severe anemia.
