First, and foremost, it should be noted that assisted living communities are not nursing homes. Unfortunately, a lot of the senior population feels that the term “assisted living” is a politically correct word for “nursing home” and this is far from true. Nursing homes are designed to care for very frail people who are not able to care for themselves and have numerous health care requirements. Ass

isted living communities are designed to assist seniors who are able to care for themselves except for a few of their activities of daily living. These activities may include bathing, dressing, preparing meals, ambulating or medication assistance and in some cases, may be experiencing memory problems, but for the most part, they do not require constant care and are independent in several aspects of their lives. Assisted living communities provide companionship, security and assistance with the activities of daily living that seniors may require in an environment that promotes and enhances independence. Our community is for seniors who want to maintain their rich, rewarding life without the responsibilities of running a household. We offer a choice of spacious private and companion rooms, restaurant-style dining, housekeeping services, exercise and wellness programs, daily activities and much more. Our residents may relax on our patio and porch areas, which overlook the peaceful pond. WillowBrook provides a wide range of services and amenities that enable our residents to derive meaning and value from every day.

💙 Meet Our New Executive Director! 💙

We’re excited to introduce Leslie Slaughter as the new Executive Director of Willowbrook Assisted Living!

Leslie has proudly been part of the Willowbrook family since December 2020, previously serving as our Marketing Director. With over 16 years of experience in long-term care and Medicaid, she is passionate about providing compassionate care, building meaningful relationships, and creating a place our residents are proud to call home.

When she’s not at Willowbrook, Leslie is a proud mom of four and can usually be found cheering on her children at their sporting events or spending quality time with her family. She brings that same compassion, dedication, and family-first approach to the residents, families, and team members she serves every day.

Please join us in congratulating Leslie as she begins this exciting new chapter leading the Willowbrook family. We look forward to all that’s ahead under her leadership! 💙
