Neutron marks its first commercial clinical use in India.

Dr. Avinash Gutte at JJ Hospital in Mumbai performed a successful mechanical thrombectomy for an internal carotid artery (ICA) occlusion using the Neutron 070 Reperfusion Catheter.

We thank Dr. Gutte and the team at JJ Hospital for their role in this milestone.

Following CDSCO approval, Neutron is now commercially available in India through Hester Diagnostics, Gravity Medical Technology’s authorized distributor.

Dr. Wittawat Takong shares a challenging ICA–MCA thrombectomy case where limited guide catheter support restricted distal aspiration catheter access.

With aspiration catheter delivery limited by proximal support, the microcatheter could still cross the occlusion, allowing the thrombectomy approach to be adapted using a stent retriever.
