Puzzle pieces weren’t the only thing coming together at Freedom Village Independent Living! So were team work, laughter, and friendly competition at our Puzzle Competition!

Teams put their problem-solving skills to the test in a race against the clock. The room was filled with focus, encouragement, and plenty of excitement as everyone worked toward the finish line.

Congratulations to Donna and Peggy, who took first place and earned the title of Puzzle Competition Champions! 🏆

Meet Patti, a proud New York native who has called Freedom Village home for nearly two years! With an impressive career in nursing, education, and community services, Patti served as a school nurse, health services administrator, and Director of Student & Community Services throughout Southern California. She also spent two years volunteering with the Peace Corps in Armenia from 2007–2009.

When she’s not leading as President of the Resident Council, serving on the Library Board, or staying involved in community committees, Patti enjoys reading, shopping, and trying new restaurants. Patti says she loves staying busy — and that’s exactly why she loves life at Freedom Village!

Our Assisted Living residents recently enjoyed a special visit from The Little Zoo Family, who introduced everyone to some wonderful animal friends!

Skilled Nursing and Nursing Home Week gave us the perfect opportunity to celebrate and thank the incredible team members in our Healthcare Center who bring compassion, dedication, and kindness to our community each and every day.
 
We started off the week with an 80’s celebration and a coffee bar, moved on to Taco Tuesday, had a rootin’ tootin’ good time on Western Day, said Aloha to a Hawaiian day, and ended off with a touchdown of a Sports Day.
 
Our wonderful Healthcare Center staff deserve this and so much more for their hard work and dedication. Thank you all for your care, commitment, and heart that helps make our community so special.
