Time can sometimes be an enigma, especially when wondering where did all the time go? But time can also be cause for celebration. Birthdays, milestones, and...anniversarys.

25th anniversarys.

Our 25th anniversary.

An anniversary we are so grateful to celebrate as we look back at the wonderful, encouraging, caring and supportive people who helped make 25 years of Arbor Village & Village Glen of Geneva Crossing (sister properties to The Terraces and The Highlands) possible. There are so many to thank—from family and friends to business partners, staff, and most significantly, our residents and their families—that we may need all of Facebook to mention everyone.

So please know that everyone of you past and present, is in our hearts; we are eternally grateful and honored to have you share in this moment. In that spirit, we also extend a special thank you to our Mayor, Todd Krause, and Bryan Iwicki of Community State Bank for their support and taking the time to join in our celebration.

As we reflect on our time here in beautiful Lake Geneva, we can't help but look forward to all the great times to come. Knowing where all that time went over the past 25 years has brought us closer to the great people of this area and the community we love.

Last week we got to talking about fishing and one of our residents shared a picture of a fishing trip her and her family took. It was a beautiful memory and wonderful story. Let's just say we were all in hook, line and sinker! And we thought, hmm, let the stories of the big one that got away begin! So we lured a favorite of ours, Mark Paffrath, to entertain us with songs of fishing as we all shared fishing tales. We also had Theo visit Arbor Village in his “lake” gear. How wonderful it is that the magic of summer can be summed up with a rod, a reel and the anticipation of that trophy just a nibble away! 🎣 😁

We took a little time to paws this week with a visit from Theo and his owner Cathy. Theo came ready for the beach and even played ball! Always a great day when our two and four-legged friends stop by to show us some new tricks. Including another favorite of ours, The King, whose trick is always putting on a great show with a special serenade for Gerree on her birthday! 🎂 Thank you to all who brought their rays of sunshine to another wonderful midsummer week here at Arbor Village and Village Glen. 😎

Last week we kicked off our celebration of America's 250th birthday with The Community State Bank’s ice cream Cruiser popping over to deliver all of us ice cream! A big, cool and refreshing thank you to them. In addition, Carolyn Wehner put together a beautiful partriotic program for all our residents to enjoy. Lots of dancing in our seats, smiles, clapping, and whistling! And because it's such a monumental occassion we are contining the party through this week with a red, white and blue thank you to everyone who has been helping plan, decorate and entertain. Happy birthday, America, and let's keep building upon the best of what our nation offers for the next 250. 🇺🇸

Tuesday afternoon was filled with Theo and his owner Cathy visiting Village Glen. Earlier in the month they visited Arbor Village as well.
