Kern Valley Healthcare District Laboratory provides clinical laboratory services to inpatients and outpatients in the Kern Valley area. Our laboratory is under the directorship of Dr. Fangluo Liu, who is board certified in Anatomical and Clinical Pathology. From the beginning, we have had a clear vision of what we must do to provide the medical community with laboratory services of the highest quality. Our vision is guided by our total quality commitment to offering our clients quick and accurate results. We collaborate with excellent reference Laboratories to ensure all your testing needs are met.

Our laboratory and personnel are licensed by the State of California. The Laboratory is certified by CLIA on a biannual basis. We do extensive proficiency testing in each department of the laboratory multiple times a year to ensure quality accurate results. In addition to the licensures and extensive external quality assurance programs, our internal team monitors the quality of each department daily. Our goal is to meet the needs of the clients that we serve with a high level of standard.

Megan Kajiwara, Nurse Practitioner
Board Certified Women’s Health

My passion is women’s healthcare.
I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2007 and began my career as a registered nurse in labor and delivery, postpartum, and women’s surgery. I obtained my Master of Science in Nursing with a specialty in Women’s Health from the University of Cincinnati in August of 2023. My career has focused on women’s health, and it is my passion to care for women wholly and completely with a focus on preventative medicine.

I specialize specifically in obstetrics and gynecology. I offer birth control including implantable contraceptives, oral contraceptive pills, injections, and IUDs. I also care for women during perimenopause and menopause. Sexual wellness, fertility, and wellness visits are among my skillsets. I look forward to bringing a much-needed service to the community.
