🎶💿 Way-Back Wednesday Back to the ’80s! 💿🎶

Today, our “Shining Through the Years” National Assisted Living Week celebration took us straight back to the fabulous 1980s! Big hair, bright colors, leg warmers, great music, and plenty of nostalgia filled Sonata Lake Mary. 🎤🕺📼

A huge thank you to Senior Nannies and Curana Health for treating our residents and associates to a fun nostalgic candy bar filled with sweet throwbacks from the decade. 🍭🍬

Our residents and associates definitely understood the assignment! From “Big Hair Blowout” to “Mullet Time,” there were plenty of smiles, laughs, music, and memories throughout the day. 💗💚

The ’80s called… and Sonata Lake Mary answered! ☎️😎 Another fun day of shining through the years together!

🎶💃 They say music and dancing keep you young… and our residents are proving it! 🕺🎵

Over the past few days, we’ve been dancing our way through National Assisted Living Week, and the smiles, laughter, and moves have been absolutely priceless! ❤️

There’s just something about hearing a favorite song that takes you back suddenly your feet start moving, your shoulders start swaying, and age becomes nothing but a number. 😊

These videos are pure JOY! Our residents are showing us that a little music, a little dancing, and a whole lot of fun are some of the best medicine for staying young at heart. 💙✨

Keep dancing. Keep laughing. Keep making memories. And most importantly… never get too old to have FUN! 🎶💃🕺

A sweet THANK YOU to Towers Home Health for showering our residents and associates with love during National Assisted Living Week at Sonata Lake Mary! Bringing Mister Softee to our community was the perfect way to serve up smiles and a little childhood nostalgia. 💛

🎀 Together, We Are Stronger! 🎀

Sonata Lake Mary is preparing for our Second Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Fundraiser! Throughout October, we will raise funds for the Breast Cancer Foundation of Central Florida, supporting its efforts to care for survivors, warriors and their loved ones.

Our fundraising activities will include:

👕 Breast Cancer Awareness T-shirts designed by our very own Lifestyle Director, Dessary Francis
🪙 Coin Wars between our departments
🎀 Personalized remembrance ribbons for our Honor Wall

Which department will earn this year’s bragging rights as the fan favorite- Wellness, Dining, Maintenance/Housekeeping, Administration or Lifestyles/Resident Engagement?

Last year, our Sonata Lake Mary family raised an incredible $1,225, and this year, we’re ready to exceed that goal!

Together, we will honor those we have lost, celebrate survivors and support everyone who continues to fight. 💕🎀
