We’re closely monitoring air quality and weather conditions and will continue to share updates as needed—but as of now, we’re excited to welcome you out for an incredible day in Detroit.
Join us for the 35th Annual Concert of Colors with FREE admission all day long, featuring performances and programming across multiple venues including the Detroit Institute of Arts, the DIA Film Theatre, the Hellenic Museum, and the Majestic Theatre.

Kick things off with the “Celebrating Ish” Opening Ceremony at 11 AM, honoring founder Ismael Ahmed, followed by a full lineup of live music—from Killer Diller and The Lemon Bucket Orkestra to Burnt Sugar Arkestra and Hassan Hakmoun. Don’t miss special performances like Sean Blackman’s In Transit, Dengue Fever, and the Don Was Detroit All-Star R***e.

There’s something for everyone, including the COC Youth Celebration (1–8 PM), interactive visual arts, a musical maze, a tot play space, and storytelling with the Smithsonian’s “We Hold These Truths” booth.
