🇺🇸Memorial Day Weekend — a sacred time to remember and honor the brave men and women who served and made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

This day is first and foremost about remembering those who served.

At the same time, I’m grateful for the day off to slow down, be together with family, and love on the people we still have here with us. That togetherness is one of the beautiful gifts of this day.

During Mental Health Awareness Month, I’m holding space for both deep gratitude and the emotional weight this day can carry. Grief, pride, and reflection often live side-by-side.

As a holistic chiropractor and homeschooling mom, I believe true honoring includes caring for our own hearts and nervous systems. Taking quiet moments to feel, remember, and recharge isn’t selfish — it’s how we carry their legacy forward with strength and presence.

Today we remember, teach our children, and give ourselves permission to feel it all.
Drop a 🇺🇸 in honor of someone you’re remembering today.

How are you holding space this Memorial Day? I’d love to hear.❤️

🧘‍♀️World Meditation Day is one of my favorite days of the year.

In the middle of Mental Health Awareness Month, this practice has become a non-negotiable for me as a busy homeschooling chiropractor and mom.

I love starting my mornings with meditation — usually right after I exercise — because it sets me up for a calm, focused, and grounded day.

I also really enjoy afternoon meditation. If we’ve had a busy day, taking a little quiet breathing time after lunch (especially if either my seven-year-old son or I are feeling frazzled) is incredibly powerful for both of us. It helps reset our nervous systems and brings back patience and presence.

Here’s why I prioritize quiet reflection time:
• Calms an overstimulated nervous system
• Improves focus and reduces mom-brain fog
• Lowers anxiety and supports emotional regulation
• Strengthens our connection as a family
• Builds resilience for the rest of the day

We don’t make it complicated — just sit comfortably, breathe, and be still. No perfect posture required- in fact- feel free to lay down or get comfortable in your favorite restorative yoga pose!

Mamas (and anyone feeling the weight of daily life), even a few minutes counts. Your nervous system will thank you.

Drop a 🧘‍♀️ if you meditate or want to start! What’s your favorite way — morning, evening, guided, or silent?

🐝🌏World Bee Day is tomorrow (May 20)!

While raw local honey is one of my favorite tools for gut health, mood, allergies, and gentle energy… today I want to talk about something bigger.

We are not separate from nature — we are part of it. Supporting the bees and the natural world around us is one of the most powerful things we can do for our own health and the health of our children.

Bees pollinate the food we eat and support entire ecosystems. When we plant pollinator gardens, reduce pesticides, and teach our kids to care for the Earth, we create a healthier world for everyone.

I’ve already planted my pollinator garden this year, and watching my son plant seeds and dig in the dirt fills my heart. Small actions really do matter.

Ways we can support bees right now:
• Plant native flowers & pollinator-friendly plants
• Avoid harmful pesticides
• Buy local honey from ethical beekeepers
• Leave dandelions and clover for early forage

How are you supporting bees and nature this season? Drop your ideas below 👇 I read every comment!

🐝🐝Bee Day is coming up on May 20, and I’m celebrating early with one of my favorite functional-medicine staples — raw local honey!

As a busy homeschooling chiropractor mom, I reach for this golden goodness when my energy dips, allergies flare, or I just want a delicious treat!

Why raw honey belongs in your wellness toolkit:

• Natural prebiotic that supports gut health (and we all know gut = mood)
• Soothes seasonal allergies when it’s local
• Gentle energy stabilizer without the blood-sugar crash
• Antioxidant-rich and anti-inflammatory
• Delicious way to calm the nervous system (especially mixed with my garden peppermint tea!)

This is also the perfect time of year to plant your pollinator garden (I’ve already planted mine!) to help support our amazing bees and other pollinators. Every flower counts!

What’s your favorite way to use raw honey? Drop it below 👇 I love getting ideas from you!💛

🌱 Happy Herb Day!
Right now the only herb really thriving in my garden is peppermint, and she’s been my quiet hero this spring.

Last year I attended the Great Lakes Herb Faire and went on some beautiful herb walks.

The herbalists there reminded me of something so important: Our plants are our medicines.

It’s not just about the physical benefits — it’s about connecting with the energy of the plants, thanking them and Mother Earth when we plant and harvest, and bringing gratitude and clear intention into the whole process. That energy matters.

Today I’m making fresh peppermint tea — steep a handful, inhale that beautiful steam (my favorite 2-minute nervous system reset), and stir in a little raw local honey. I also love chopping it fresh into salads for a bright, cooling crunch.
You don’t need a big garden. Start with what’s growing and show up for yourself with intention.

Why peppermint?
• Eases tension headaches & clears brain fog
• Calms an overstimulated nervous system
• Supports digestion after busy days
• Natural mood + energy lift

What’s one herb you’re loving right now, or how do you connect with your plants? Drop it below 👇I read every comment!

Mamas, we give and give… and this weekend is the perfect reminder to pour back into YOU.

Whether you stay home full-time, work outside the home, or do a mixture of both — we can feel it in our bones that some of the most important work we do is raising our kids. As Mother Teresa said, “If you want to change the world, go home and love your family.”

And a huge shout-out to all the fur baby moms out there ... your nurturing love is important too!

As a busy homeschooling chiropractor mom, my nervous system thanks me every time I do this simple Ancient Minerals magnesium soak. It’s not fancy, it’s effective.

Pro Parent Tip: These baths are wonderful for kiddos too! Just skip the essential oils if your child has any sensitivity to scents (even natural ones). I find that if my son is showing signs of dysregulation, a calming magnesium bath helps regulate him almost instantly!

Why this bath is my go-to:
• Magnesium absorbs through the skin to calm anxiety, ease muscle tension, and support deep sleep
• Magnesium reduces inflammation and quiet the overstimulated mom-brain
• 20 quiet minutes = better mood, clearer head, and renewed patience for the people (and pets!) you love most

How I make it:
Warm water + 1-2 cups Ancient Minerals magnesium flakes + a few drops of Aura Cacia lavender essential oil (my preferred brand — I mix it in a carrier oil first or blend it into bubble bath). One of my go-to bubble baths is the Babo Botanicals Sensitive Baby Shampoo and Wash. I also love adding some fresh peppermint from the garden.

*When adding fresh herbs like peppermint, keep them attached to the stem — makes cleanup so much easier.

Both Aura Cacia essential oils and Babo Botanicals products are available through my Fullscript account — link in bio!

This Mother’s Day, give yourself permission to rest. You deserve it.

Drop a 💜 if you’re treating yourself to a bath this weekend or something else special.

What’s your favorite add-in?👇
Happy early Mother’s Day — you’re doing beautiful work.🌷

Just back from Dr. Tony Smith’s Craniobiotic Technique seminar at Northern Quest in Spokane… this training is a game-changer.

CBT uses precise muscle testing to identify hidden infections and stressors that the body is struggling with, helping the nervous system communicate clearly so the immune system can do its job. It forms the foundational training for Dr. Smith’s LymeStop protocol for chronic infections.

I’m so excited to bring these gentle, root-cause tools back to my practice.

The beautiful Kalispel Tribal art and history on display at Northern Quest deeply moved me — especially the stunning regalia and timeline of resilience. As someone with a small amount of Native ancestry (my grandmother was from the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa & Chippewa Indians), it felt meaningful to be learning on this land.

Healing is so much more than physical — it’s body, mind, spirit, and connection to place.

Swipe to see more from the weekend!

As a holistic chiropractor, I believe staying neutral around ticks is powerful. When we carry fear, we can energetically draw in what we’re afraid of. Staying calm and prepared keeps our nervous system relaxed and our immune system strong — which is especially important during Mental Health Awareness Month.

A simple prevention strategy helps us remain neutral and confident when enjoying the outdoors. Here’s what I do for my family:

👉My go-to Essential Oil Tick Spray (safe for kids & pets when used properly)

Recipe (4 oz spray bottle):
25–35 drops Lemon Eucalyptus essential oil
10–15 drops Clove essential oil
8–12 drops Cedarwood essential oil
2 oz vodka/rubbing alcohol
2 oz Distilled Water

How to make: Add oils to a dark glass spray bottle → add vodka/alcohol → top with water. Shake well.
Use: Spray on skin, clothing, and shoes. Reapply every 1–2 hours.

Daily tick checks after being outside are another easy, empowering habit.

I just returned from Dr. Tony Smith’s Craniobiotic Technique seminar in Spokane — the foundational training for his LymeStop protocol. These tools help us stay proactive without fear. I will be talking more about this soon!

Prevention + neutrality = peace of mind in nature.

Who’s enjoying the outdoors this spring? Drop a 🌲 below!

April reminded us that you don’t have to choose just one way of listening.

I deeply tune into myself daily, and I also muscle test myself regularly — both bring me closer to my body’s wisdom.

Thank you for being here. If this resonated and you’d like to work together in person, please feel free to DM me for more information on how to book an appointment.
Here’s to more listening, more balance, and more joy. 🌸
