Current U.S. guidelines suggest that routine bone density (DEXA) scans are generally recommended starting at age 65, or earlier only for women with specific risk factors such as a family history of osteoporosis, low body weight, certain medical conditions, or early menopause.
💪 For most younger women, the better investment is building strong bones through exercise, adequate calcium and vitamin D, good nutrition, and avoiding smoking.
