While the technology is new to our clinic, ultrasound isnā€™t new to me. Iā€™ve been trained in and using ultrasound throughout my anesthesia career for more than 15 years. Now weā€™re bringing that experience into even more of the care we provide at Serenity.

Weā€™re excited to officially introduce Dr. Gabriel Perez, MD, Board-Certified Anesthesiologist and Medical Director at Serenity Mind & Body Solutions. ā¤ļø

Dr. Perez has served as our Medical Director, and weā€™re thrilled that he will now be seeing patients right here in our office, expanding the advanced, physician-led care available at Serenity.

His services will include medically managed peptide therapy and ultrasound-guided Stellate Ganglion Blocks (SGB).

And this one is especially meaningful to me: Dr. Perez is the physician who trained me in anesthesia 15 years ago. To go from being his student to now working alongside him at Serenity is truly a full-circle moment. šŸ©µ

Weā€™re excited to soon offer Stellate Ganglion Blocksā€”an ultrasound-guided procedure that targets the sympathetic nervous system and has been studied for conditions including PTSD, anxiety-related symptoms, certain chronic pain conditions, hyperhidrosis, menopausal hot flashes, tinnitus, and Raynaudā€™s phenomenon.

At Serenity, this procedure will be performed by a board-certified anesthesiologist with a focus on safety, precision, and individualized care.

Ketamine is often talked about as a treatment option for depressionā€”but thatā€™s only part of the conversation.

Many of the patients we meet arenā€™t dealing with just one issue. Chronic pain can affect sleep, mood, anxiety, relationships and quality of life. And depression can make living with pain even harder.

As a board-certified anesthesia provider, my background is different from many ketamine clinics. Iā€™ve spent my career managing medications, physiology, pain and patients who require close monitoring.

At Serenity, we evaluate the whole picture and offer ketamine infusions for both mental health and chronic pain indications when appropriate.

Maybe youā€™ve heard about ketamine but arenā€™t sure what an appointment involves. Maybe youā€™re wondering whether itā€™s something worth discussing for your mental health or chronic pain.

Iā€™m Oneida, a board-certified nurse anesthetist and the owner of Serenity Mind & Body Solutions. I bring my anesthesia background to ketamine care, with an emphasis on individualized treatment, careful monitoring, and helping you understand the process.

Our role is to manage your ketamine treatmentā€”not replace your therapist, psychiatrist, or other healthcare providers.

Treatment isnā€™t right for everyone and requires a medical evaluation. But asking questions is a place to start. Thereā€™s no pressure to have everything figured out.
