Back-to-school outreach is taking us all across Polk County! ๐ŸŽ’๐Ÿ’™

On August 1, we joined the Back-to-School Event hosted by Gate Church at the Tom Fellows Community Center in Davenport, where we offered free hearing screenings and shared helpful resources with local families.

Weโ€™re grateful for every opportunity to connect with our community and help families start the school year strong!

If youโ€™ve ever wondered what happens before we sit down to talk about hearing aid options, this is part of it.

Today, our hearing aid specialist is behind the scenes reviewing rechargeable hearing aids side by side. Itโ€™s quiet, hands-on workโ€”and most people never see it.

This is only the first look. Stay tuned: next, weโ€™ll break down the differences between rechargeable hearing aids and traditional battery-powered options.

We had a great time at the City of Bartow Employee Health Fair last week! ๐Ÿšฒ๐Ÿ’™

From interactive activities to free hearing screenings, it was wonderful connecting with City employees and sharing how better hearing supports better health, communication, and quality of life.

Thank you, City of Bartow, for inviting Central Florida Speech & Hearing Center to be part of such a fun and wellness-focused event!

โ€œI wish I had come sooner.โ€

We hear it more often than you might think.

Not after a hearing test.
Not after a diagnosis.

We hear it after someone realizes how much they had been missing.

The conversations.
The laughter.
The little moments they didnโ€™t know were slipping away.

Hearing changes gradually, making them easy to ignore and easy to adapt to.

But sooner matters.

A hearing evaluation isnโ€™t about pressure. Itโ€™s about clarity, answers, and knowing what comes next.

Some notes stay with you.

This sweet message is a reminder of why we do what we do. Helping someone hear more clearly is about more than technology, it is about reconnecting them with conversations, confidence, and the moments that matter most.

To the patient who took the time to write this, thank you. Your kindness meant more than you know, and we are so grateful to be part of your hearing journey. ๐Ÿ’™

Okay, this made our day. ๐Ÿ˜„

We had to do a double take when we saw in the comments showing our video some love.

Thank you for the support, and for everything you do for the people of Polk County. Weโ€™re proud to serve the same community, and moments like this make us even more grateful to call Polk County home. ๐Ÿ’š

In a few minutes, someone will walk through these doors carrying a question, a worry, a hope, or a goal they have not said out loud yet.

They may be waiting to hear more clearly.
To find the right words.
To feel understood.
To feel connected again.

They may not know it yet, but this hallway leads to more than an appointment.

Sometimes, it leads to a breakthrough.

Today changes everything. ๐Ÿ’™

Backpacks are important.

But so are the skills that help children learn, communicate, and connect.

We were proud to be part of the United Way Success By 6 Back to School Event at Bonnet Springs Park, where families had the opportunity to connect with community resources before the new school year begins.

Our team, including Dr. Tammy Riegner, Dr. Kelly Ortiz, and staff, welcomed children into our Communication Station, answered questions, completed screenings, and shared how early speech, language, and hearing support can make a lasting difference.

Thank you to United Way of Central Florida, Bonnet Springs Park, and everyone who stopped by to visit us. We love partnering with our community to help every child start the school year with confidence.
