We’re Growing Our Team!

Lakeland Midwifery Care is looking for a Birth Assistant to join our practice.

This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about supporting families, enjoys being part of a team, and is interested in birth work. Previous birth experience is wonderful, but it isn’t required—we’re happy to train the right person.

What we offer:
• Pay per birth
• Shared call schedule with another Birth Assistant
• CPR certification provided
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification provided
• Hands-on experience supporting families during pregnancy, labor, birth, and the immediate postpartum period
• A supportive and collaborative work environment

We’re looking for someone who is:
• Reliable and able to respond when on call
• Calm and steady in high-pressure situations
• Compassionate and professional with clients and families
• Eager to learn and work closely with our midwifery team

Birth work is incredibly rewarding, and we’re looking for someone who feels called to support women and families during one of the most important moments of their lives.

Sometimes when we decide to make a shift, the baby decides to make shift 😳 we decided to go to the hospital at an attempt for an epidural and a nap and we made it to Hailey’s driveway! 😮‍💨 Baby just wanted to be born in the fresh air with the beautiful hues of dusk ☺️ Hailey did AMAZING!! Her baby is a stinker and we love him anyway ❤️ Congrats to you guys!! Thank you for allowing us to be apart of your journey and this amazing birth story! Haileys face says it all 😆
