Connected Pathways Helping Healing Happen We are here for you in those times. We also help you be able to recognize negative interaction cycles and help navigate change.

Vision
At Connected Pathways our understanding is that life gets hard and there are times of disconnection in your relationships (family, friends, community, or romantic relationships). We help teach communication skills that will benefit you by being able to communicate for understanding instead of reacting within your relationships. Mission
Connected Pathways strives to help clients form strong, healthy, and balanced relationships within the client’s systems in order to promote healing with self and others. About Connected Pathways
Connected Pathways is about keeping your family and relationship connected despite having different paths taken in life. When we start out in our family of origin, we are on the path of our family. As we start to grow up and venture out on our own paths, others may join our path. The routes we take may create detours or merge a few different times with others, sometimes for a season and sometimes for life. Connected Pathways is here to help you navigate your path and keep you connected with your loved ones while keeping or finding your individuality. Our founder, Andrea (Andi) Griffith has a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and is currently a Registered Intern with the state of Florida. Andi has worked as a teacher from 2016 to 2023. She has also worked in the school system on the mental health side of the education system. She specializes in working with teens and parents and has experience working with couples as well. Andi created Connected Pathways because she is passionate about helping others achieve their goals and becoming the best version of themselves.

October's book of the month is "What am I feeling?" by Dr. John Gottman and

This book not only explains parenting styles but how to raise an emotionally intelligent kiddo. Emotion coaching is the way to get your kid to have a secure attachment and be emotionally intelligent. What is emotion coaching you might ask? This book explains what it is and how to do it. It's never to late to start using emotion coaching with your kid to ensure that they can show up in future friendships and relationships with a healthy mindset and problem solving skills.

While Andi doesn't work with children at Connected Pathways, LLC, she has worked with many kids in the school system and works to help emotionally coach kids on a daily through that work. Andi has seen the impact that this type of intervention can have on the emotional well-being and emotional intelligence a child can have.

How does Andi regulate between sessions? How does Andi not carry other's emotions from one session to another? As a therapist, Andi feels strongly that she needs to show up to session with a calm presence. She is human, however, and sometimes gets dysregulated. The exercise in the video is one of Andi's go-to methods. It is quick and easy but does the job. It is called the Polyvagal theory basic exercise.

To do this exercise you simply: Lie down, Clasp your hands together and put under your neck, with your nose pointed toward the ceiling, you move your eyes to the right. You wait for a deep breath, sigh, or yawn as a release.

This month, the book of the month is for anyone feeling stressed or dealing with high stress levels in any area of your life. Written by Elissa Epel, PhD, "The Stress Prescription: 7 Days to more joy and ease" is insightful and refreshing. Dr Epel gets it.

Elissa Epel, PhD, researched stress extensively over many years including during the COVID pandemic. She teaches you how to manage stress and what chronic stress can do TO your body vs what the good kind of stress can do FOR your body.

Stress isn't going to go away and we all deal with it, so why not learn what you can to work FOR you, not AGAINST you?
