Every time non-mesh inguinal hernia repairs come up, everybody loves to bring up the Shouldice Repair. Yes, it’s Great. But the data only supports it when it’s done at their center. In Canada. Pay cash, stay there in their hospital a few days, and they have pretty strict criteria about who they operate on, including BMI. If that’s your cup of tea, go for it. No BMI cutoff for robotic repairs in America though 🇺🇸
