If you know someone who constantly corrects the way people speak, you will inevitably get annoyed.
Correcting someone’s pronunciation or the way they phrase something when you already understand what they mean can feel incredibly condescending. After a while, people may start filtering themselves around you because they feel like every conversation is being judged.
Good communication is about understanding the person in front of you, not making sure they say everything perfectly.
If this is a habit you have, it may be worth paying attention to. And if you’ve been on the receiving end of it, you probably know exactly how irritating it can be.
