The best "problem" to have? 😄
Sometimes we plan an activity for one hour... and two hours later, no one wants to leave! We'd call that a scheduling challenge—but it's the kind we love.

Seeing our residents laughing, connecting, and asking, "Can we keep going?" is the greatest compliment. Even family members join the fun, sample the appetizers, ask where we found them, and leave with full hearts (and sometimes a new grocery stop on the way home! 😉).

Our residents inspire us to raise the bar with every activity. Their joy is our motivation, and their smiles are our greatest reward.

Who says school is only for kids? 😄 At The Oaks at Lakewood, learning never graduates!

Our geologist/engineer, Ron, rocked the room (literally!) by teaching us how talcum powder is made and how a volcanic rock (punice) floats and can exfoliate the skin.

Here, we don't just play games—we keep our minds curious, our hearts happy, and prove that you're never too old to learn something new!

Now Hiring: Full-Time Therapy Aide / Rehab Tech

The Oaks at Lakewood is currently seeking a Full-Time Therapy Aide/Rehab Tech to join our dynamic rehabilitation team. SNF experience is preferred, but we welcome motivated individuals who are passionate about serving the geriatric population.

Primary Responsibilities:
* Support the therapy team with daily department operations.

* Coordinate with nursing and floor staff regarding therapy schedules.

* Assist therapists with patient set-up and transport before and after therapy sessions.

* Assist the Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) with scheduling and other administrative tasks.

* Organize and maintain the therapy gym and treatment areas.

* Assist therapists in procuring and preparing therapy equipment and supplies.

* Scan and upload therapy-related documents into the electronic medical record (EMR).

* Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the DOR.

Qualifications:

* High school diploma or equivalent required.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Knowledgeable in operating Windows-based applications.

* Experience with scanning and uploading electronic documents.

* Friendly personality with the ability to build rapport with residents and staff.

* Flexible, dependable, and a team player.

* Available to work Monday through Friday
