Dr. Mackintosh received a dual bachelors degree from the University of Buffalo in Biological Sciences and Psychology with a focus in Neuroscience. This was followed by his doctorate in Chiropractic which was completed at D’Youville University located in Buffalo, New York. Dr. Mackintosh was trained at a trauma one level hospital at Erie County Medical Center (ECMC) in Buffalo, followed by a preceptorship at the University of Buffalo Neurosurgical Spine Center (UBNS). This type of training exposed Dr. Mackintosh to a wide variety of conditions along with working alongside other medical providers. His training involved reaching and interpreting diagnostic imaging such as X-ray and MRI’s, working with neurosurgical candidates, and neurosurgical patients with a variety of conditions and comorbidities. He has treated conditions varying from disc germinations, nerve compression, scoliosis, canal stenosis, fractures, whiplash, degenerative joint disease, plantar fasciitis, larval tears, and working with high level athletes.
