Jade Kids Jade Woman de LaLonde, Inc. is now dba Jade Kids The long term goal to support this purpose is to have a nature site in the Colorado Rocky Mountains.

The purpose of Jade Woman de LaLonde, Inc., a 501 (c)(3) tax exempt corporation, is exclusively for charitable, scientific and educational purposes, more specifically to help others by promoting healing, health and wellbeing through training and treatment using the nature based theory of Chinese Medicine at an affordable cost to the patients and clients. Inspiration for founding Jade Woman de LaLo

nde and this goal came in part from Richard Louv. In his book, "Last Child in the Woods" he states "the child in nature is an endangered species and the health of children and the health of the Earth are inseparable." Judi Terrill, Founder and Executive Director of Jade Woman de LaLonde, Inc, is the mastermind behind the entire organization. She has eighteen years of experience as a Chinese Medicine Professional. With nature as her basis and guide, Ms. Terrill developed a unique Five Element model to diagnose and treat children, parents, families and other adults. This nature based art form of the medicine uses elements in nature, specifically, water, wood, fire, earth and metal to identify the individual characteristics, needs and best environment for healthy development and wellbeing. Treatment focuses on the entire being, physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. She has often helped both children and adults that Western Medicine has been unsuccessful diagnosing and treating. In addition to her experience and expertise in Chinese Medicine practice, teaching and program development, Ms. Terrill had an extensive career in Corporate America as a Corporate Executive and Officer in Finance, Management and Administration.

Today's kids have adopted sedentary lifestyles filled with television, video games, computer screens, and phones. Studies show that children need outdoor play in order to develop their sensory, motor, and executive functions. A lack of movement has been shown to lead to a number of health and cognitive difficulties, such as ADHD, emotion regulation, and sensory processing issues, aggressive and/or anti-social behaviors. So, how can you ensure your child is fully engaging their body, mind, and all of their senses?

NATURE is the ultimate sensory experience! A child’s psychological and physical health vastly improves when they spend time outside on a regular basis. 🌿

Happy July! Give kids something they'll keep with them forever - great memories!

Nothing is more memorable than a smell. One scent can be unexpected, momentary and fleeting, yet conjure up a childhood summer beside a lake. ~ Diane Ackerman

If you’re not able to send your child to summer camp for weeks at a time — check with local botanic gardens or parks for day-classes, activities, and events. Many cities have nature-based programs that fully immerse children into a world of wonder.

Exploring green spaces is essential, now more than ever. Getting children off of the couch and out of the house will not only promote good physical health, but mental health as well.

Regardless of age, from toddler to teen, studies show that children need to experience nature to maintain balance, stimulate creativity and curiosity, and to use all of their senses.
