PSA:
Asocial and antisocial are not the same thing.
Psychopaths and sociopaths are not the same thing.
To say someone is asocial is a fancy way of saying they’re introverted. The “a” means they avoid sociality.
Someone who is antisocial intentionally acts in ways that are contradictory to society. The “anti” implies attempting to cause harm to society.
Sociopaths and psychopaths are both antisocial. But in different ways. Sociopaths are much more impulsive and emotional, and may have important significant relationships outside of their antisocial behavior. Psychopaths feel little to no emotion, and so are extremely manipulative, and all their relationships are superficial, but they will play the hell out of your feelings. They tend to be good at being charming, but not good at sincere connections.
Psychopaths are typically far more dangerous because they are far better at hiding.
