We had a wild and very warm evening at Night of Wonder! Thousands of foster, kinship, and adoptive families gathered at the Denver Zoo for animals, activities, food, and community resources. Our water bottles, fans, snacks, and squishies were a hit. Thank you to Cobbled Streets for inviting PPCH to be part of such a memorable night!

This month, let’s take a moment to appreciate the variety of ways that we all interact with our surroundings and appreciate that an accessible world benefits all of us!

July is Disability Pride Month! Though many may want to join in support or celebration, it can be difficult to know exactly how. One of the easiest ways you can be an ally to the disability population is to pay attention to your own behavior and how exactly you may subconsciously be treating those individuals differently.
Spend some time this month learning how you can be a help in small but meaningful ways.

We love New Hire Day! All new PPCH staff take a tour to visit some of our many, wonderful partner organizations where they get to see for themselves how we’ve grown over 31 years from a single, tiny office to one of Colorado’s most comprehensive providers of support for individuals with disabilities. We are so proud of the inclusive and supportive community we are continuing to build together.

We are grateful to celebrate Josh and Janay McLemore, who have been fostering with PPCH since January 2024. Their commitment goes beyond opening their home. They have also shown deep care for the families connected to the children they support, building relationships rooted in trust, kindness, and hope. Janay also serves the Pueblo community through her nonprofit work and as the founder of The Lioness Project, continuing her commitment to empowering others.
Thank you, Josh and Janay, for the heart you bring to foster care and to the PPCH community.

That means access without making people ask twice. Respect without assumptions. Support that honors choice, independence, and identity.
Individuals with disabilities belong in every part of community life, not as an exception, but because community is better when everyone is included.

What a wonderful morning of rhythm, connection, and community!
Our Therapeutic Drumming & Sound Immersion session with Rhythm Heart Sound was a huge success. Participants came together for music, relaxation, and shared support in a welcoming space, and the energy in the room was truly special.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this event such a meaningful experience.
