Is that leg pain really starting in your leg?

Sciatica often begins in the lower back and may cause burning, shooting, numbness, or tingling that travels through the hip, buttock, and down the leg.

Other signs may include:

• Low-back pain or stiffness
• Leg weakness
• Difficulty standing or walking comfortably
• Pain that worsens after prolonged sitting, bending, coughing, or sneezing

A thorough evaluation can help identify what may be contributing to your discomfort and determine an appropriate treatment plan.

From swimming and golfing to pickleball, walking, and playing with the kids, summer gives us plenty of opportunities to be active.

But a sudden increase in activity can also leave muscles and joints feeling tight, sore, or less mobile than usual.

Help your body recover by staying hydrated, stretching gently, allowing time for rest, and paying attention to discomfort that does not improve.

Chiropractic care and dry needling may help reduce tension, improve mobility, and support your body as you enjoy a more active summer.

Keep moving, keep enjoying the season, and do not let lingering discomfort slow you down.

Summer often means more time mowing, gardening, landscaping, and tackling outdoor projects.

All that bending, lifting, pulling, and twisting can place added stress on your back, neck, and joints—especially when you try to accomplish everything in one day.

A few simple reminders:

☀️ Warm up before getting started
☀️ Switch tasks and positions frequently
☀️ Bend at your knees when lifting
☀️ Take breaks before your body feels exhausted
☀️ Avoid twisting while carrying something heavy

When soreness, stiffness, or limited movement begins interfering with your day, chiropractic care may help restore mobility and keep you doing the things you enjoy.

With temperatures climbing into the upper 90s, your body has to work harder to stay cool. That can mean more muscle tension, fatigue, headaches, stiffness, and flare-ups — especially if you’re working outside, traveling, exercising, or spending extra time in the yard.

A few simple reminders:

✅ Drink water before you feel thirsty
✅ Take breaks in the shade or A/C
✅ Stretch gently if you feel tight or stiff
✅ Avoid overdoing outdoor activity during peak heat
✅ Pay attention to dizziness, weakness, nausea, or confusion

Your spine, muscles, and joints are part of the bigger picture of how your body handles stress — and heat is definitely stress.

Stay cool, stay hydrated, and take care of yourself. If the heat has you feeling extra tight, sore, or out of alignment, we’re here to help.
