Back-to-school season in South Carolina moves fast—and so do appointment slots! 🏃‍♂️💨

Under South Carolina state law, all students (5K through 12th grade) must have an up-to-date South Carolina Certificate of Immunization on file before heading into the classroom.

Here are a few key milestones to keep on your radar:

✅ Rising Kindergarteners: DTaP, Polio, MMR, Hepatitis B, and Varicella.

✅ Rising 7th Graders: Tdap booster (whooping cough protection) is required before entering 7th grade!

✅ New to SC or Transferring? Out-of-state vaccine records must be officially transferred onto a South Carolina DPH certificate.

We are thrilled to introduce NeDeirdra Weldon, a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who is passionate about keeping our community’s children healthy and thriving!

NeDeirdra has been a dedicated part of the healthcare world since 2009. She started her journey in the fast-paced lab of a high-volume Level I trauma center, giving her a rock-solid foundation in clinical excellence. Today, she blends that expert "science" with a "heart" for patient-centered care.

Beyond being a top-tier provider and a DOT Certified Medical Examiner, NeDeirdra is a busy mom of four! When she isn’t at the clinic, you’ll find her exploring the great outdoors with her family or volunteering in our community.

Meet another of Our New Full-Time Providers: Angela "Angie" Stacks, FNP-BC! 🌟

We are so excited to announce that Angie Stacks has officially joined The Children’s Clinic full-time! A familiar face in Lancaster since 1990, Angie’s journey is one of true dedication—transitioning from a Charge Nurse in the ER to fulfilling her ultimate dream of being a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.

Angie brings years of critical care experience and a heart for our local families. When she isn’t at the clinic, she is likely adventuring with her four grandchildren, tending to her chickens, or decorating a beautiful cake! 🎂🐓

Meet Our Founder: Dr. Carmina Cruz-Dayrit! 🩺✨

We are proud to have Dr. Cruz-Dayrit leading the team here at The Children’s Clinic. Originally from the Philippines, Dr. Cruz-Dayrit earned her medical degree from the University of the Philippines before moving to New York City for her Pediatric Residency at Beth Israel Medical Center, where she served as Chief Resident.

A Board-Certified Pediatrician and Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, she also completed a fellowship in Pediatric Nephrology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Since 1998, she has been a dedicated part of the Lancaster community, opening The Children’s Clinic in 2007.

Dr. Cruz-Dayrit has a special interest in supporting children on the Autism spectrum. When she’s not at the clinic, she stays active through running, spinning, and gym work. She is a proud wife and mother of two who treats every patient like family!
