Mymycolab

Mymycolab MyMycoLab is a laboratory that tests blood serum for 14 mycotoxins, including both IgG and IgE. The result is chronic illness. Mycotoxins are everywhere. CDC.

MyMycoLab is a mycotoxin test lab that specifically determines the presence of 14 different mycotoxin IgG and IgE antibodies in blood serum which indicate current immune reactions and stimulation of mast cells (an allergic reaction), respectively. Mycotoxins have been dubbed the "Great Masqueraders of the 21st Century" by the WHO, because they present symptoms that mimic myriad other diseases and

are often overlooked and misdiagnosed. So, what is a "mycotoxin?"

Mycotoxins are microscopic toxins born of mold spores that can infiltrate and build up in your body--in muscle, joints, lungs and other internal organs, skin, or even the brain--causing a variety of physiological and neurological disorders. They are so small that they can cross the blood-brain barrier; hence the reason they are often the root cause of many neurological issues. If mold is the "gun", then mycotoxins are the "bullets!"

Mycotoxin patients often bounce from doctor to doctor, getting a variety of diagnoses and treatments, only to be frustrated repeatedly. They needlessly suffer from chronic pain and discomfort that could be effectively cured if only the root cause was properly diagnosed and treated. And THAT is precisely why we're here--to help doctors and patients properly identify and treat mycotoxin-related illness. Now the tricky part...

The trouble with mycotoxins is the variety of symptoms they present from patient-to-patient, and no two patients are alike. One may suffer headaches and chronic fatigue. The next may have muscle aches or a skin rash or swear they have Lyme disease. Many older patients present with dementia or Alzheimer’s, while children may indicate autism. Women often show signs of endometriosis. Other presentations include migraines, sore/stiff joints, "fogginess", abdominal pain... the list goes on. The hard truth is that mycotoxins present in so many ways that they are nearly always misdiagnosed as something else. And most physicians—when presented with a "known" symptom--often jump to and stick with their initial diagnosis, no matter how chronic, and treat only those observed symptoms without ruling out the possibility of mycotoxins. To make matters worse, there is a lot of misinformation out there regarding testing. There's urine testing, for which we refer you to this article posted on the CDC website: https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/preview/mmwrhtml/mm6406a7.htm That states, "There is no FDA-approved test for mycotoxins in human urine." So, what’s the problem with urine testing? You encounter them every day. You touch them, breathe them in, and ingest them. Urine is your body's excretion mechanism that flushes your body of waste material and toxins that you ingest. In short, the presence of mycotoxins in urine is relatively normal. A more accurate mycotoxin test uses blood serum to determine the IgG and IgE antibodies that reveal active mycotoxicosis--this type of test is only available from MyMycoLab. The good news...

Think about how you adjust to the temperature in a room.

If it changes slowly, you often don't notice it.

Sometimes our bodies can be similar.

When something changes gradually, it's easy to adapt. You might tell yourself:

"I'm just getting older."

"I'm just stressed."

"I'm just tired."

Sometimes those explanations are exactly right.

But if symptoms become your new normal, it may be worth having a conversation with your healthcare provider about what's changed and whether there could be more than one factor involved, including your environment.

The goal isn't to jump to conclusions.

The goal is to stop accepting every change as "normal" without asking questions.

At first glance...

Not much.

A CEO.

A busy mom.

An athlete.

Three completely different lives.
But they all said the exact same thing:
"I thought it was just stress."

Sometimes that really is the answer.
But when symptoms persist or don't make sense, it may be worth having a broader conversation with your healthcare provider about all the possible factors that could be involved…including your environment.

The first step isn't assuming the answer.

It's asking better questions.

"Everything looks normal."

For many people, those words bring relief.

For others, they bring more questions.

If you're still dealing with symptoms even after being told your routine bloodwork is normal, it doesn't necessarily mean your experience isn't real. It may simply mean it's time to have a broader conversation with your healthcare provider about what else could be contributing.

Different tests are designed to answer different clinical questions.

At MyMycoLab, blood serum antibody testing measures the immune response to mycotoxins, providing another piece of information that may help guide discussions with your healthcare provider.

"I walked into the room... and completely forgot why."

Most people laugh it off.

They blame stress.A busy schedule. Not enough sleep.Getting older.

And sometimes, those really are the reason.

But if moments like these become frequent and they're happening alongside things like brain fog, fatigue, headaches, or difficulty concentrating, it may be worth having a broader conversation with your healthcare provider about all the factors that could be involved, including your environment.

Sometimes the symptom that feels the strangest is the one people dismiss first.

You left the mold… but did it leave you? 👀
Moving out, fixing the leak, or removing the mold may change your environment. But environmental exposure and your body’s immune response are two different parts of the conversation.
That’s why MyMycoLab uses blood serum antibody testing to look at the immune response to mycotoxins.
If you’ve changed your environment but you’re still searching for answers, this may be another piece worth discussing with your healthcare provider.

Think you'd know if your home had a mold problem? 👀
Not necessarily.
Moisture problems aren't always sitting out in the open. They can occur behind walls, under flooring, around windows, or in other areas you may rarely see.
And a home can look beautiful, clean, and well maintained while still having areas worth investigating.
If you're experiencing unexplained symptoms and searching for answers, your environment may be one part of the conversation to have with your healthcare provider.
Sometimes, what you don't see is exactly what deserves a closer look.

**Ever come home from vacation... and just not feel like yourself?**

Most of us remember the sunsets.
The amazing food.
The beach.
The souvenirs.

We rarely think about the environment we stayed in.

Hotels, vacation rentals, and other buildings can experience hidden moisture issues—and those aren't always obvious during a short stay.

If you've come home from a trip and you're still searching for answers, it may be worth discussing all potential environmental exposures with your healthcare provider as part of the bigger picture.

Sometimes the things you can't see deserve a closer look.

Your liver works around the clock to help process what your body is exposed to every day.

On World Hepatitis Day, it's a reminder that liver health is an important part of overall wellness.

Research has identified certain mycotoxins, including aflatoxins and ochratoxin A, as compounds that can affect the liver. Understanding potential environmental exposures and discussing them with your healthcare provider can be an important part of a broader health conversation.

At MyMycoLab, our blood serum antibody test measures the immune response to mycotoxins, providing another perspective to discuss with your clinician.

What if we told you your breakfast could influence part of the conversation around mycotoxin testing?

Small amounts of mycotoxins can naturally occur in foods like coffee, grains, spices, nuts, and dried fruit. That's why context is so important when interpreting laboratory results.

No single test should be viewed in isolation. Symptoms, medical history, environmental exposures, and the type of test being used all help tell a more complete story.

At MyMycoLab, our blood serum antibody test measures the immune response to mycotoxins, providing a different type of clinical information to discuss with your healthcare provider.

The scariest thing about mold isn't always what you can see.

Sometimes a home looks spotless. Sometimes there's no obvious smell. And sometimes the first clues aren't in the room—they're in how you feel.

If you've been experiencing brain fog, fatigue, or trouble concentrating, it may be worth having a conversation with your healthcare provider about whether your environment could be playing a role.

Because asking the right questions is often the first step toward finding better answers.
