The biggest moments aren’t about having no nerves—they’re about trusting the work you’ve already put in.

Pressure is a privilege. Confidence comes from preparation. Stay present, play free, and compete one moment at a time.

Whether you’re stepping onto a World Cup pitch or your own field, court, or stage, remember:
🔹 Focus on what you can control.
🔹 Trust your training.
🔹 Reset after every play.
🔹 Compete with courage.

Don’t know if you guys have caught the news recently…

But we support this reminder!

So many athletes pause their mental work out of season, but there’s never a bad time to train your mental game. Summer vacation can be a great time to get creative with that mental game plan even if you aren’t playing.

Are you tired of the post-game doom spiral? Are you constantly criticizing yourself but struggle to recognize your accomplishments?

Guided reflection can help us look at the full picture when it comes to our performance. It helps us give more balanced perspective to how we’re actually doing.

Try this prompt for your post-game reflection:

❤️ Effort: What’s something I did that showed hustle and heart?

🏆 Success: What’s something I did well today?

📈 Progress: What’s an area of growth I can take away from today?

⭐️Pro-tip to level up your reflection: It’s important to recognize your strengths. Don’t just reflect on the bad outings, reflect on the good ones too!

Student athletes often focus on training plans, skill development, and performance goals during the summer. But mental performance is supported by the basics, too.

Hydration. Sleep. Sunlight. Boundaries. Movement. Rest.

These habits help support focus, emotional regulation, recovery, resilience, and overall well-being—both on and off the field.

What would you add to your summer mental performance checklist? 👇

If you’re an athlete, chances are you’ve experienced at least a few of these 😅

Mic drop 🫳🎤

You’ve tried every quick hack to confidence you see.

You’ve rattled off all of the positive affirmations you created.

Yet when the moment matters, you notice you still can’t shake the performance anxiety.

Maybe we’ve been looking in the wrong place 👀

We can’t self talk our way out of a nervous system that interprets high stakes competition as a threat, but we can work with our nervous system to feel more equipped to handle the mind and body response that comes with it. 🧠

If you’re ready to stop running from pressure and start developing the tools to embrace it, comment “Level Up” below ⬇️

Did you know?

Your brain activates many of the same neural pathways when you vividly imagine a skill as when you physically perform it. That’s why visualization is such a powerful mental performance tool—your mind is practicing even when your body isn’t ⚡

Want to improve your confidence, focus, and performance? Start training your mind, not just your body.

Try these visualization exercises:
✅ Before practice, spend 2–3 minutes imagining yourself executing a skill with confidence and precision.
✅ Visualize yourself staying calm, focused, and resilient after making a mistake.
✅ Before competition, mentally rehearse your ideal performance from start to finish using all five senses.

Mental reps matter. The more your brain experiences success, the more prepared you’ll feel when it’s time to perform 🧠
