The CMHA-CEI Veteran Navigation Team were honored to attend the Welcome Home Ceremony for The Wall That Heals. The event took place on Thursday, August 20th at Harper Creek High School in Battle Creek, MI.
The Wall That Heals is a traveling three-quarter-scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C., accompanied by a Mobile Education Center that provides communities with a place for remembrance, reflection, education, and healing.
Mental Health Therapist and Veteran Navigator, Marcie Maleport and Peer Support Specialist, Brandon Hetherton are pictured with Medal of Honor recipient James “Doc” McCloughan following the ceremony.
Our team was proud to stand alongside fellow veterans and community members in honoring the service, sacrifice, and legacy of those who served in Vietnam. At CMHA-CEI, supporting veterans means showing up, building connections, and ensuring they never have to navigate life’s challenges alone.
