To ALL Medical Providers...TELEHEALTH CHANGES:

Lots of mess going on about Telehealth and many services that were being paid for during the PHE (Public Health Emergency) will be going away. And the info online are ambiguous and confusing. SO due to this... I read and read and dug and dug and then I WENT STRAIGHT TO THE CMS WEBSITE AND shut all doubt down concerning telehealth!!

So...our standard 99202-99205 and 99212 to 99215, willl revert back to pre PHE....use GT code!

The only difference now is that these visits does not require a 95 modifier (unless doing behavioral health), out side of the PHE, which we are not in anymore.

You may still use 95 Modifier thru December 31st 2024 with CMS. They are allowing a grace period for the change.

So as of Jan 1st 2024, many commercial insurance have already turned away Modifier 95 code (unless doing behavioral health), and denying payment, unless you take it off and rebill. OK? Bill with GT code as a rule of thumb.
