Yesterday was another good day. Zia Recovery Center ties for third place at the NMSU HRTM COLLEGE OF ACES 3rd annual golf tournament fundraiser!

They say there are no middle of the road solutions, however there is a middle of the road golf trophy and we won it!
This is given to the team that had fun, played hard, and ended up in the middle of the pack!

Yesterday we told you about Domenic. Here's the rest of it.

At The Healing Together Summit: Bridging Systems and Spirit, our team was given an award for commitment, community, collaboration, compassion, and connection.

We're honored to be held is such high regard. We also take those five words as the description of the mission that we are on together— they're what we're aiming at on the hard days, not just the good ones.

Thank you to Tyler Allred and Kendall Kee of Las Cruces Recovery Center for building a summit with room for all of it: the clinical, the personal, the spiritual. Thank you to everyone who stopped at our table and asked a real question. And thank you to the Team ZRC who gave up a Saturday to show up and stay all day.

New Mexico's recovery community is small enough that we mostly know each other, and big enough that we still need days like this one.

Grateful to be in it with you all.

Domenic Mahooty came through Zia Recovery Center as a client. Yesterday in Las Cruces, we watched him work the room as a colleague.

He's the Alumni Coordinator at Las Cruces Recovery Center now — which means his job is to be the person who bridges treatment and lifelong recovery . He calls, he checks in, to ensure that nobody "graduates" and disappears into silence.

That's not a small thing, it's the whole thing.

Thank you to Tyler Allred and Kendall Kee from Las Cruces Recovery Center for building Healing Together: Bridging Systems and Spirit. Our team tabled all day, saw friends we don't see often enough, and finally met face-to-face people we'd only ever known as a name on a referral or an email. Recovery in New Mexico runs on a network, not a list of buildings — and days like yesterday are where the network actually gets built.
