What an incredible day of connecting, healing, sharing, and…horses!

Thank you to Fox5 reporter Evan Leake for coming out to our event and sharing these stories with such care and authenticity.

When Dean McAuley, a firefighter from Washington state who attended the Route 91 Harvest Festival - and when tragedy struck, used his training to help others — says that equine assisted EMDR therapy saved his life, that is the power of this work.

We also want to thank Yvonne, a survivor of the Route 91 Harvest Festival shooting, who spoke publicly for the very first time about her healing journey.

A huge shout out to Resiliency & Justice Center and our volunteers who make events like this possible and to everyone who showed up with open hearts

The horses don't ask questions. They simply respond to what's true. And for survivors and first responders carrying the weight of what they've lived through, that honest, non-judgmental presence can be the beginning of real healing.
