When you say, “I look tired,” what might your face be telling us?
“I look tired” sounds simple, but it can mean several different things. For one person, it may be expression lines. For another, it may be a change in cheek support, facial fullness, or the quality of the skin itself.
During a Mini Face Refresh consultation, Maria considers four parts of the picture:
MOVEMENT — The way the muscles move when you smile, frown, squint, or rest can contribute to lines and a heavier or more fatigued expression.
STRUCTURE — Over time, changes in bone, fat, and other supporting tissues can alter the way the face is held. Age, genetics, lifestyle, and weight fluctuations can all influence this.
VOLUME — Facial fullness does not change evenly. The important question is not simply whether volume has been lost, but where it has changed and how that affects overall balance.
SKIN QUALITY — Tone, texture, hydration, elasticity, and firmness help us understand what filler or a neuromodulator can improve, and what may be better addressed with a skin-focused treatment.
This whole-face assessment helps us address the reason you may look tired instead of automatically adding filler to the first area you notice. That distinction is one of the most important parts of creating a result that looks natural.
